After the school day was over, you'd spent the whole day at home 'sick.' Your phone buzzed as you groaned and picked it up.

Stefan: Hey where were you today?? :)

Y/N: I wasn't feeling great so I took the day off

Stefan: Oh okay, will you feel up to meeting me?

Y/N: Yeah sure, where?

Stefan: The cemetery :)

Y/N: Okay I'll be there soon :)

You frown before putting your phone down and groaning.

These brothers would be the death of you, you thought.

Your phone buzzed again as you huffed in annoyance, not wanting to talk to anyone else.

Elena: Hey do you wanna meet later at the grill or something? Think we need a catch up :) x

Y/N: I'm really sorry but Stefan asked if I'd meet him tonight, maybe tomorrow?? x

You felt bad and waited for your phone to buzz when Elena replied, but it didn't. You could tell she had seen the message and felt extremely bad for her. Although you would have felt worse for lying.

You sigh before getting ready and leaving your house, starting towards the woods.

You didn't understand why Stefan would want to meet in the cemetery, of all the places. It made you frown as the tree line appeared and revealed the marked stones of the dead.

Shivering from the cold in the dying light and the fact that you were surrounded by deceased people, you looked around but Stefan wasn't visible anywhere.
