After a long day of trying to avoid Sal, the day was over and night was beginning to pull in as I sat with a latte in the TrueTv studios, about to head home. I finally checked the text I received earlier and as I read the message, my breath hitched in my throat as hot tears stung my eyes. The message was from my Aunt Linda who I hadn't spoken to in nearly as long as my Dad. I couldn't believe what I was reading as pangs of grief, guilt, regret, shock and hurt shot through me like a bullet.
"Hey, are you okay?" I heard Q ask from above me which I simply ignored as the question seemed to disappear in my sorrow. This drew the attention of the other guys, even Sal, standing around me and asking me questions which I couldn't hear. My legs suddenly buckled and I collapsed onto the floor, arms grasping at me to slower my fall. My heavy eyes shut and my world went dark.

Beep, beep, beep.
Was the only sound I could hear, my eyes fluttering into sight to reveal a white, sterol hospital room filled with people. I grumbled and began to rise from my bed before being pushed back down by a kind looking nurse.
"No dear, you must rest. You've had a nasty fall and your body needs to recover," she said before the four Jokers, Shane, Bessy and Helen ran to my side.
"Oh my God, are you okay?" Helen said worriedly, grabbing my hand. I felt as if I couldn't answer her. It all depended on whether what I read had been a dream or reality... I couldn't quite remember.
"My phone," I muttered, my throat sore and dry as I gestured towards the smartphone across the room. Bessy walked over and retrieved it, before handing it over. I quickly unlocked it and went straight to my messages. For the second time, my heart felt as if it had bursted, shattering into billions of pieces which cut me from the insides. I couldn't help but let the tears fall as I slumped into Helen's arms, the guys around me trying to figure out what was wrong. My vision blurred through the tears as I pressed my face into Helen's sweater.
"What is it?" She asked, concern laced through her voice.
"My Dad," I stuttered through the tears, "He's d-dead..."
