                                                            Daniel... 

So many emotions were going through my head. I kept clutching the steering wheel praying that I don't put my hands on Selena. That won't make things any better for us. Right now all I want is a valid explanation, but knowing her it'll be a while until I get to know the truth. "Daniel.. I'm sorry." She spoke interrupting the silence in the car. I sighed heavily getting irritated at her voice. "Honestly, the best thing to do right now is shut the fuck up." I responded harshly. I see her look out the window from the corner of my eye and she begins sobbing. She knows I hate that... "When your ready to tell me what's been going on then things can go back to normal." She sighs and the rest of the car ride was silent. Just how I wanted it to be.

I pull up to the house and get out the car, but she doesn't get out, she's just looking forward at absolutely nothing. I knocked on the window and she jumps, turning to face me. "I'll be in in a minute." She says quickly, her words slurring a little. I look at her suspiciously then walk to the front door, unlocking it then walking inside, going straight to the living room seeing Serenity and Danny's "welcome home" cards on the coffee table. I walk back to the front door and look through the window, seeing Selena still in the car, rummaging through her bag nervously. She eventually throws her bag in the back seat and threw a tantrum in the car, punching the glove compartment area continuously. She began crying and I sigh, walking back outside, opening the passenger door picking her up out of the car then I carry her inside, laying her on the couch. She was shaking. "Tell me what's wrong with you." I demand.

She looks up at me weakly. "I-I can't... you'll h-hate me." I sit next to her, looking into her eyes. They were dark brown, not hazel anymore... which really worried me. "Selena, I'll never hate you. You have to tell me what's wrong sweetheart." I say, pulling down the dress she had on, that was rising up from the way she was laying. She raises up and falls into my arms. "I'm.... a-addicted."

"Addicted to what?"

"Cocaine..."

I sat there amazed at what she just told me. I'm lost for words at this point. I knew I shouldn't have let her go so easily, and now she's basically unstable. I looked away from her, biting my lip making numerous decisions in my head. Do I really want her around our children like this? Will she go into rehab for a while? What will the press think? What will happen to my career? "I-I'm sorr-" "No, I'm sorry."

I get up from the couch and start walking towards the stairs, but she runs up to me, grabbing my shirt, dropping to her knees crying hysterically. "P-please don't l-leave me here alone! I-I'll do anything y-you want me to!" I looked down at her, not seeing Selena at all... "Go get some help.. I'll be getting you an apartment until you clean yourself up." I shake her hands off me and try to walk up the stairs, but she grabs my legs, making me fall back onto the stairs. She quickly climbs on top of me, straddling me as she looks into my eyes. "I-I can change! I need y-you!" She broke down in loud cries and hugged me tightly, and after a while of realizing what all I went through to find her, I join in on her cries and hug her back, kissing her forehead as my hands massage the small of her back. "I'm so stupid.." I spoke and she sinks her nails into the back of my neck. "Don't e-ever say that... I'm the stupid one.."

"Promise me you'll get help."

"Promise.."

                                             Selena... (One month later) 

"I've been dying to see my babies." I say as we drive to Daniel's mom's house. He didn't want the kids around me until I cleaned up a bit and that's totally understandable. "They've been dying to see you." He responds smiling from ear to ear. I'm not fully recovered, I still have my cravings but I'm glad Daniel buys me chocolate to overcome it. "I've been dying to spend some time with you." He says stopping at a stop light. I blush and look at him blushing himself. He's such a nerd sometimes. "Date tomorrow night?" I ask and he nods, grabbing my hand. He hasn't been affectionate with me until now. All I need is Daniel in my life.. no one else. Because without him I'm no one. He eventually pulls up to the house and I get out of the car anxiously, excited to see my children.  As soon as I get out of the car, Serenity is running out of the house and into my arms. "Mommy! Mommy!" She yelled loudly, hugging my legs. I looked up at Daniel seeing him with Danny in his arms. "Mama.." Danny says reaching out for me. I grab Serenity's hand and carry Danny with my free arm. This is all I want.. this is all I need.
