Madisons POV
"And here's your cinnamon roll," I said putting down a plate in front of a guy, who looked like he was in his late twenties. "And sorry about the mix up," I added seeing that he still looked a little angry. "It's just, it's my first week here and I'm still kind of new to all of this."
The guy didn't look up at me. He just took a bite of his cinnamon roll, without saying a word. Ok then. I thought starting my way back into the kitchen. Great. There goes another job. I thought as i leaned up against the counter.
It's my first week working here, at The Coffee Mug Cafe, and probably my last. I've had about six jobs, all being a waitress, and I've gotten fired from all of them. Except job number three, that one I quite because I knew I was going to get fired anyways. I don't know maybe being a waitress just isn't my thing.
"You have another customer," my co-worker, Dana, said poking her head into the kitchen.
Great. Hopefully I dont blow this one too. I thought walking back out into the cafe.
I walked into the dining room and looked around until I came across a guy that I hadn't seen before. He had platinum, blonde hair and actually looked kind of cute. I walked over to where the guy was sitting and took a big breath. Okay now don't mess this one up. "Hi! Welcome to The Coffee Mug!" I said adding a smile. "What can I get you?"
"Hi," the guy said, looking up at me with a smile. He had a cute smile too, and a cute little nose. "Um. I don't really know," he said looking down at the menu. "What do you recommend?" he said flirtatiously as he looked back up at me.
Is the guy flirting with me? No he can't be. I mean look at me.
"Well I really don't know if it's your kind of thing, but I think the iced latte is pretty good," I told him, pointing at the picture of the latte with my pen.
"Great. I'll take one of those," he said handing me the menu, looking me in the eye.
Yup he's flirting with me, I thought. "Okay. I'll have that right out for you," I said taking the menu and walking towards the kitchen.
Once I got into the kitchen I looked out of the little window in the door. I saw the blondie looking up at the ceiling, then down at the floor. Basically all of the room. What a loser, I thought walking over and getting a cup, so I could start making his latte.
