SetoSolace - Paint Me A Picture

~Seto's POV~

Brice has been gone for about two years now, not gone as in...dead, he's been travelling around the world. No matter where he is, he would always paint a picture of where he was and send it to me, I always look forward to those. I keep every single wonderful piece of art he sends me, my room overflowing with the paintings. His art is beautiful, it's one of the many reasons why he's travelling. I love that he's fulfilling his dream, seeing the world, I'm proud of him...but I also miss him.

I wait patiently, watching the mailman from the window, he slowly steps out of his truck and walks up to my door, by now he already knows he must give it to me in person since he's done this millions of times. I jump down from the bench I was sitting at and open the door, the man smiles at me. Carefully, he hands over the package, I set it down for a minute to sign his papers, then he leaves. I pick the package back up and close the door with my foot before going into the kitchen. I gently set it down and get a knife to carefully remove the paper that's covering it.

At first, I was confused. Staring at the painting of my house, he always sends me a painting of...where he's at. I jump slightly at the sound of the doorbell, looking back at the painting then at the door, before running over to it. I hesitantly put my hand on the doorknob and slowly open the door a little. The sun blinds me for a second, but as the light dims, I see Brice standing there, a bunch of red roses in his hand. He smiles at me and I don't hesitate to throw open the door and hug him, he instantly wraps his arms around me in return.

"I missed you so much." He says.

"I missed you too!" My voice muffled, he laughs and kisses the top of my head.

I'm so happy you're home.
