Serena's POV
"We're here!" my mom exclaims.
"Great," I thought. New friends, new school, new house, new life. This is just great.
"Yayy.." I sarcastically murmur.
"Oh sweetie lighten up! Maybe this is exactly what you need. A fresh start!"
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes.
We drove up a long windy hill and finally we reached our new house.
"Woah." I got out of the car and looked outside toward the ocean. It was the beginning of summer so the sunset was amazing.
"Mom, this view...this view is so beautiful," I stared off into the sky. "I feel like I can see the whole city from up here."
"I knew you would like it," my mom said from behind me. "I saw this house and I immediately knew, this is the house we are going to live in."
The house itself wasn't a mansion but it was still pretty big. Especially when my mom and I will have the whole place to ourselves.
"Serena! We don't have all day! Come help me with the bags," I ran over to my mom and started to take the bags from her and carry them into the house.
As we got settled in, my mom suggested that I go look around Huntington and get used to the neighborhood, and go get groceries. I refused at first but then she said there would be no food for the night so without saying another word I rushed out of the house and walked to the store. We were pretty close to the super market so I guess that was convenient.
While I was walking to the market, I was wondering if I would have any neighbors my age by me. Hopefully I did. In New York, none of any of my friends or people from my school lived by me. That was because we were richer then most of the other people we knew. Wait let me rephrase that..my dad was richer then most of the people we knew. He didn't really share any of his money with mom and I. He just said he did to make our family look good. God he makes me sick. Well anyways just as I was thinking and daydreaming, I bumped into someone and I fell down totally making me loose my train of thought.
"Hey watch where your--" I stopped and looked up and saw the same guy from the airport that helped me with my bag.
