Keaton's POV
*ding dong*
Drew ran downstairs. "SERENA IS HERE!" he screamed.
Wesley shoved me out of the way causing me to fall on the floor. "COMING!"
"OKAY THAT IS THE LAST STRAW!" I yelled. I got up off the floor pushed Wes onto the couch and shouted,"I'M COMING!"
I opened the door, heavily breathing. God I don't think I have been that energetic for a while. I was breathing so hard I kinda forgot she was standing right there, but as soon as I looked up to introduce myself..I was speechless. Drew was not kidding when he said she was hot... she was so beautiful. And her eyes... her eyes were amazing.
I think I had been staring at her for a long time... but was I hallucinating or was she looking into my eyes too? Alright Keaton snap out of it! She probably already thinks your an idiot so don't make a fool of yourself any more and just say hi!
"Umm...uhh..hi. I'm Keaton," I muttered. It always bugs me how I'm not as confident around girls as Wes and Drew are. The girls are always attracted to Drew and Wes because they are just so I don't know... they just always know what to say around them. And whenever a girl likes me I just always manage to screw things up..I never mean too, it's just I never say the right thing or act the right way...
'Umm..I'm Serena, nice to meet you." She gave me a small smile. Her smile is so adorable.
"Yeah, you too." I smiled backed at her. Okay it was getting awkward...say something Keaton!
"Uhh... u can come inside..." Wow. Just wow. Great conversation. Could I have said anything worse then that? I need to step it up and be more confident around her like Wes and Drew are with other girls.
Serena's POV
I think I had been staring at him forever. It's just, I couldn't look away from his eyes! There was something about them...I don't know what but there was just something about them...
"Umm...uhh..hi. I'm Keaton," he said quietly looking down at the ground. Nice first impression Serena. He probably already thinks I'm some stupid weird freak...and he doesn't even know my name yet!!
'Umm..I'm Serena, nice to meet you.." I gave him a small smile. Not to big though. I didn't want to be a cheesy freak too.
"Yeah, you too." he gave me a quick grin back. I was stunned. This boy was just perfect...his smile was so cute and adorable. Great I was probably staring again...
"Uhh... u can come inside..." he said awkwardly. Well shit. He probably caught me staring, again! At his beautiful smile that lasted less then a second long. Okay I can't make myself look any more stupid. Just be yourself and be confident and everything will go great!
I walked through the door and then Drew ran over to me and gave me a huge bear hug. I swear I think he cut off my circulation.
"Hey Serena!" he said cheerfully.
"Hi Drew," I said. What should I say next? Come think think...
"Uhh... nice place." Wow could I have said something anymore lame.
Drew gave a small chuckle. "Thanks," he said.
As Drew led me into the family room there was a guy sitting on the couch with a YUMS snapback on. He looked a couple years older then Keaton. That must be Wesley. He was cute. Really cute actually. All the guys here by far so much cutter then the guys back in New York. But he wasn't quite like Keaton... there was just something about him... something different. Something special.
Wesley got up off the couch and walked over to me,"I don't think I've introduced myself," he started. "I'm Wesley, but you can call me Wes."
"I'm Serena," I said confidently while shaking his hand.
"Sooo," Drew said butting in. "What do you guys want to do today?"
"Whatever Serena wants to do is ay-okay with me." Wesley said and then winked.
I blushed. "Well umm... is there a bowling ally nearby?"
"Yeah, a couple blocks down," Keaton said.
"Alright then! Let's be on our way!" Drew cheered while marching out the door.
Keaton's POV
Drew walked out the door with Serena right behind him. Just as I was about to go Wesley stopped me.
"Dude she's cute isn't she?" Wesley said.
"Umm...Uhhh we should go," I mumbled and then ran out the door away from Wesley. I could not tell Wesley that I thought she was cute... he would just start to make fun of me and make my life hell.
We got in the car with Wes driving and Drew riding shotgun. That left me and Serena in the back. "Don't stare, whatever you do don't stare," I said to myself in my head over and over.
As we started driving Drew and Wesley started to ask Serena more about her personal life and what she was like.
"So Serena, how do you like it here in Huntington so far?" Drew asked.
"I love it," she said with a smile. Her smile was breathtaking. "It's a lot different here from New York, but in a good way. And I'm really happy I met you guys. I honestly thought I would be alone here all summer. Even though we just met, I already feel like we are going to become really good friends."
"Aww," Wesley started. "I'm happy we met too. And this summer will be the best you've ever had. Trust me."
I hoped she meant what she said. That was actually really sweet. And I know we will become good friends too... maybe even more then good friends.
