Chapter Forty Seven

The next day

We were up early for once, I changed the sheets while Alec was in the shower. Once I had done, I threw on a tracksuit, went downstairs and started making breakfast. I had switched the radio on and turned it down a little. I danced around the kitchen while stirring the batter in rhythm. "Pancakes." A child's voice said from behind me, I spun on my heels almost buckling over my own feet. Jett giggled as he climbed on the stool. "You gave me a bit of a fright." I smile foolishly. He giggles again. "How did you sleep?" I ask. "On my back." Jett chuckles. I roll my eyes. "It was fine." He beams cheekily while I poured the batter in to the frying pan. "Where's Jade and Eli?" I ask. "Still asleep." He says. Alec walks down the stairs wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. "Morning Bud." He says bumping fists with Jett. "Morning Dad." Jett says smiling. "Have a good sleep?" Alec asks. "Sure did." Jett smiles. I flip the pancake while eavesdropping on their conversation. "Wanna go for a quick run before breakfast?" Alec asks Jett. "Sure." Jett says jumping off the stool. Alec walks over to me and kisses my cheek. "Be back soon." He says. "Seeya soon mom." Jett says and just like that they were out the door and gone. "Guess I'm alone." I say speaking to myself out loud, I shrugged it off and carried on making pancakes.

I had stacked pancakes on to each plate and then placed the plated on the table. I made two bowls of weetabix for the twins and placed it on their high chairs. I walked over to the drawer and pulled out two bibs, I walked over to the counter and put them down. I then made a bottle for Mason, I placed that on the counter too. "Morning mommy." Eli yawns rubbing his eyes, his hair was all ruffled up, I walk over to him and I lift him up. He lays his head on my shoulder. I rub his back. "You can go back to sleep." I say. "I will. I smelt pancakes." He says. "Alright." I say putting him at the table. I hear light footsteps, I look up. Jade had a weary smile on her face. "It's okay Jade, your dad will be here soon. Do you want pancakes?" I ask. She nods with a smile. The door opens, Alec, Jett, Luca, Kassie and River all walk in. The baby monitor flashes. "Great, Alec can you grab the twins. I'll make more pancakes." I say walking in to the kitchen. "No need we're not stopping." Luca calls. I smile to myself, I really couldn't be bothered to make more pancakes. I walk out the kitchen. "Jades having breakfast." I say. "Thanks Liv." Luca smiles. "River d'ya want some of my pancakes?" Jett asks popping his head in to the hall. "Sure." River smiles. Alec walks down the stairs carrying the twins. "While you're here. Dad was talking about River and Jett going in to first grade at a private school." I say. Luca looks at me. "I can't afford both him and Jade." Luca says. "Don't you worry, I'll help out little brother." Alec smiles. Luca smiles. "I can't ask of that." Luca says. "Lou, it's more for Jett than me, it's a new school and I think they'll settle easier being together." Alec chuckles. "Alright fine." Luca says. I look over at Kassie. "D'ya wanna talk for a minute?" I ask. "Sure." She says, we walk in to the living room while Alec carries the twins in to the kitchen. We sit down on the chairs. "Are you okay?" I ask. She nods. "I actually am." She says with a small smile. "How'd you feel about Jade living with you?" I ask. "Actually fine, She's a great girl and if i'm gonna stick with Luca i'm gonna learn to love her." She says. I smile. "Well Kassie that's very grown up of you." I say. "Actually there's something else. Ashton has reached out to me. He wants to speak with you." She says, I raise my eyebrow and I think about it for a moment. "Well if my little sister can be a grown up about this, maybe it's time I grow up too. I just hope he's changed." I say. "He did sound a bit different." She says. I nod. "Well I'll give Konan a call and he can arrange something." I say. She nods and we both stand up. We walk in to the dining room. River, Jett and Jade spoke amongst each other while Eli silently finished his pancakes. He puts his knife and fork down on the table, I walk over to him and I lift him up. "You wanna lay in my bed?" I ask. He nods. "Alright." I say as I carry him upstairs. I walk in to my bedroom and then I put him in my bed, I handed him the remote and he put on Peter Pan, I walked over to the curtains and then I kissed his head. "Seeya when you wake up." I say. He yawns and I close the door a little. Jett met me at the top of the stairs. "Can I go with Aunt Kassie and Uncle Luca?" He asks. "Go get dressed." I say smiling, he beams and runs in to his room. I knock on Taja's door. "Come in." She says, I walk in. She had a smart outfit on, she sat in front of her mirror trying to do her hair. "Need help?" I ask. "Please." She smiles. I walk over to her, I grab the mousse and put some in my hand, I put the can on the dresser and rubbed it in to her hair. "I'm nervous." she admits. I smile. "Don't worry about it." I smile. "Will it be okay if you watch Mason?" I ask. "I told you we're here to help." I smile. "Thank you." She smiles. I finished her hair. "It's perfect!" She beams. I walk over to Mason lifting him up, he stirs and wakes up. "Come on." I say. Taja grabs her bag and then follows us out. "I'm gonna grab some breakfast at the cafe." She smiles. I nod. "Alright." I say as we walk down stairs. "Alec's brother and my sister is here. I'll introduce you to them." I say. She smiles nervously as we get to the bottom, we walk in to the kitchen. The room goes silent. "Luca, Kassie this is Taja. She's Mason's mom and gonna be staying here for a while." I say. "Hi." They smile. "Hi, I better be going I don't want to be late." She says. "Bye." Alec calls. "Bye." She waves as she leaves. "Bye Taja!" Jett calls as he comes down the stairs. "We better be off too." Luca says. "Bye uncle Alec, Bye aunt Olivia!" River calls. "Bye!" Jade says as she skips out. "Bye mom and dad." Jett smiles and he follows behind him. The door closes and for a brief moment it was silent. "Mommy! I done!" Colton calls from his seat. I walk over to him and wipe his face. "Good boy." I say. Alec lifts him up while I grab Mason's bottle. I feed him and then I rub his back. He burps. I carry him in to the living room and I put him in his play pen. "Babe." I call. "Yeah." Alec says carrying in the twins. He puts them on the floor and walks over to me. "Ashton got in touch with Kassie." I say. Alec frowns. "What does he want?" Alec asks sitting down. "To speak to me." I say. "I hope you told her to stick it." Alec says. I look down. He sighs and shakes his head. "Okay Olivia, we're adults. But on one condition." He says. "What?" I ask. "He comes here." Alec says. "Deal." I say. Alec takes out his phone and dials a number. "One hour, my house. She's gonna talk to you." He says and then hangs up. "You know his number?" I ask. He shrugs. I sit beside him. "I'm clearing the air." I say. He nods. "I know." He says. "Where's Eli?" Alec asks looking around. "He's asleep, he was exhausted." I say. "Yesterday really took a toll on him, he did good." Alec smiles. "Well he is your son." I smile. "And yours." He beams. I look over at Colton, he stumbled around the living room. "Well we've got Colton and Chloe next." I say. Alec looks at Chloe, she played with her dolls, I notice his eyes sparkle. "She's got you hooked." I say. "I know." He sighs hopelessly. I chuckle. Chloe looks up at Alec and then she stands up, she walks over to Alec and he lifts her on to his lap. "Daddy." She smiles. "Hello princess." He says smiling back. She hugs him and he kisses her forehead. She beams happily before she lies back on to him. I turn my attention to Colton, he was playing with his car. He paid no attention to his surroundings and focused completely on the car. I grab hold of my phone and I quickly text my mom checking if she's okay, she quickly replies. "What time is Jordan coming?" Alec asks. "I'm not sure. I'll call him." I say calling Jordan's mobile. "Liv." He says. "Jordan." I say. "I'll be round at about 2." Jordan says. "Alright then." I say. "Alright." He says. "K bye." I say hanging up. "2." I say looking at Alec. He looks up at the clock it was 11:45. "Alright." He nods. We sit there in silence for a moment before Alec stands up. I notice Chloe was asleep, he placed her on the sofa and then walked over to Mason. "He's getting big." Alec says. "I know." I say. He walks over to me and kisses my lips. "I'll clean breakfast up." He says. I smile. "Thank you." I say, he kisses me again then he walks out. Colton walks over to me and I lift him up. He looks at me, he looked confused for a moment, he then smiled. He was just so adorable, I smiled at him. "Hello pumpkin." I say smiling. "Mommy." He says hugging me. I ran my hand through his hair and I fixed his clothes. I sat him beside me and put on paw patrol. I hated the programme but he loved it, his eyes were glued to the screen. I stand up and I walk over to Mason lifting him out. I placed him in his baby walker and he instantly started to waddle around. He froze and turned around to face the TV. He was glued to paw patrol as well. I went through my messages and noticed one from Hilary. Call me. I call her number. "About time!" She says. "Hello Hilary." I say. "What's going on in the Royal household today then?" She asks. "Well, Jett's with Luca, Kassie, River & Jade, Eli's asleep, Chloe's Asleep, Colton and Mason are watching paw patrol." I say. "Aw, wait Jade, Luca's daughter?" She asks. "Yep. Alec picked her up last night. Luca is keeping her." I say. "Oh, how does Kassie feel?" She asks. "Surprisingly. She's been really mature about it." I say. "Wow." She says. "Anything else?" She asks me. "Well we have a sort of teenage lodger. She's Mason's biological mom." I say. "What?" She says shocked. "Yeah it turns out her parents drugged her and moved her away. I could not just not help her." I say. "What's she like?" Hilary asks. "She's really quiet actually. She wanted to go back to school so Alec enrolled her and she's really trying with Mason." I say. "That's great." She says. "Once she gets back on her feet she'll move out with Mason." I say. "Oh wow." She says. "And Ashton is coming over." I say. "OMG." She says. "What?" I hear Bolton's voice. "Nothing." She says standing up. I hear her footsteps walking out. "Why?" She asks. "He's been in touch with Kassie. So I want to just clear things up." I say. "By things you mean Jett." She says. "Exactly. This has gone on for too long. Jett will still have nothing to do with being an Alpha of that pack. Ashton has no legal rights but if we come to an agreement this petty war will stop." I say. "Will Alec be there?" She asks. "I don't want to put pressure on it all, of course I want Alec to be in their, I need the support. Just incase. But we haven't spoken about it." I say. "Do you know if Lilly is coming?" Hilary asks. "I have no idea. I hope not." I say honestly. "And if she does?" She asks. "I'll say all I have to say and that's it." I say. "Well let me know how it goes." She says. "Will do. What are you guys doing today?" I ask. "Gonna take aubs to the aquarium." She says. "Aw that sounds nice." I say. "Actually Bolt wants to know if Eli wants to come." I say. "I'll go check on him and give you a call back." I say. "Okay." She says. "Bye." I say. "Bye." She says. I hang up. Alec walks in. "I'm gonna check on Eli." I say smiling. "Okay." He says grabbing me as I walk past him. He kisses my lips and I kiss him back, I put my arms around his neck while he puts his hands around my waist. "I love you Olivia Royal." He says. "I love you Alec Royal." I say smiling. He let's me go and then I walk up the stairs.
