"Astrid Ann Hofferson!"  My dad yelled from his study " If you don't get in here right now.."

Please don't fill in that sentence I thought hurrying down the stairs
 
As I hurried down to the study my mom cast me a look of sympathy, and something else...defeat?

Whatever is going on isn't going to help me live in the next couple of hours.

When I finally found my way to the study, I found Dad standing by the window looking at the beach.

Guess I forgot to mention that we live right on the beach ,and that we happen to have the best view in all of Berk.Of course its not like we even go to the beach anymore. With dad's job and mo         traveling we barely have time to eat together,let on alone go to the beach as a family.

"Um..hi daddy" I said trying to lighten the mood.

"What is this?" He replied, holding up a piece of yellow paper.

It appears to be a piece of paper I thought

" I don't know dad.." I said staying on the safe side

"I'll tell you what it is.," he said unfolding it and began "Mr. Hofferson, it appears that you have been careless of the rules made to protect the citizens of Berk. You have been passing up stop signs, running over mail boxs ,and not to mention playing obnoxious music, which has been the source of many complaints. This is your first notice, but if you continue on this path we will take your car and license.

How is twenty-one pilots obnoxious? And it isn't my fault I ran over mailboxes. They put them in the wrong place anyway.

"Do you have anything to say on your behalf Astrid?" My dad asks in a calm voice

I'm in for it this time I think, taking a deep sigh

"No"

"Well I have something to tell you.. you are no longer allowed to drive until you officially past your test"

" What? " I screech

" I'm positve that I'm speaking english"

No,your speaking gibberish. How could you take away my freedom?You have just said you are under house arrest! 

"Any objection? He asks, in that stupid deadly calm voice.

I feel like your over reacting. I mean,this is totally not fair,its only the first notice since when do we not get second chances?

"No" I say putting on a brave face

I can't let him know that he got to me.

"You are dismissed" he tells me, turning back to the window

I  walk out of the office calmly, but as soon as I reach my room I run in and shut the door, letting one tear fall down my cheek. Then I immediately curse myself.

I  have to stay strong I tell myself " what doesn't kill you makes you stronger "

I continue to tell myself this as I make my way down stairs to  dinner. Turns out dad had a business call right after our"little  meeting",and mom had to leave, which left me with Hiccup.

" Whats up?"  he said, then looking up he saw my face and I kicked myself.

Why didn't I wash my face? Now he going to ask questions.

But he didn't.

Instead he walked out of the room and came back a couple lf minutes later, with a bag of popcorn.

" Wanna watch a movie?" He asked

I contemplated my options -

Spend the rest of time up in my room listening to sad music, or spend some time with Hiccup, and have some fun.

I smiled " A movie sounds nice!"
