Odin (Loki) POV

This is great. No one has even noticed the difference since I have taken the throne. How idiotic they seem! Though I am just that good.

I am sitting in the throne with a handful of guards. It is quiet and boring, and I really wish something would happen. It's been pretty quiet since Thor defeated Malekith.

The door to the right of the throne opened to reveal a young woman in a light blue dress with a silver breastplate. She looks familiar... I may have threatened her once.

"I seek an audience with the King, alone." she announces in a commanding tone.

The couple guards that were patrolling could plainly see that she meant business, and left through the door behind her. I am alone with a girl who may very well try to kill me. Finally, something fun.

She walked around to stand infront of me. Her dark brown hair was pulled into a braid at the nape of neck and she looked me over with a cold, analytical eye.

I didn't notice right away, but her right eye is red and her left brown. How peculiar...

She cocked her hip and crossed her arms.

"So... How long are you going to keep up this act?" She asked.

"What do you speak of, child?" I asked.

I've gotten quite good at sounding like Odin, if I do say so myself. Though I'm not sure, I think she knows who am.

"My complements, Loki. You sound just like your father." She said with a smirk.

"Who are you?"

"Come on, Loki. Are you so self centered that you can't remember your childhood friends?"

"Ahhhh... Now I remember who you are! The orphaned prodigy, Mari, was it?" I stood up and stepped down to stand in front of her.

Mari was one of the handful of children that mother made us play with to keep us social as kids. She was found as an infant, alone in the woods with the bodies of her dead parents. She was found by Odin on one of his hunting trips. My "parents" took pity on her and convinced the head guard's family to raise her.

She was never educated, but knew almost everything. Thor and I had tutoring everyday and when we got out we would tell her a bit of what we learned. She would be interested and then tell us some crazy fact about it that we hadn't learned. Mari was quickly named goddess of wisdom after mother found out about her knowledge.

"That's me. Now, how long are you going to hide in your father's skin?" she asked, giving me a soft jab in the chest.

"How did you find out?" I asked stepping closer, which caused her to step backwards towards the door.

"I never told anybody about this ability." she said cautiously, taking another step back.

I stopped the illusion and took another step closer in my own form. She's keeping her cool, for someone being stared down by a known murder. Interesting...

"How..." I asked slowly.

"You see how my eyes are two different colors?" She never broke eye-contact this whole time.

"Yeah...so?"

"Well, with one eye I see what everyone else sees. The other shows me what's really there. Like when Malekith's ship attacked, it was shielded to be invisible, but I could still see it." she explained, now with her back against the side wall.

I looked down at her, as she is almost a head shorter than I. She seems to be pretty calm for having me so close, but I can see she has started breathing deeper.

"So what was your plan? Just tell me you know and walk away?" I asked with a smirk.

"Nope. I had no plans or expectations on how this would go. I just thought you should know your plan isn't totally fool proof." she answered in a fairly smug way.

"Have you told anyone of this?"

"No, but I will not hesitate to if the need arises." She cocked her hip again and looked me up and down. "I don't care what you do, just know that I can see."

"And what do you think I'll do about you?" I ask, smiling slightly.

"It doesn't matter. I've no ties to anyone. No parents or siblings, but you already know that."

"Not even your adoptive family?" I asked slightly puzzled.

"I have even less love for them then you did yours."

"How..."

She tapped her temple. "I know things, remember?"

"Mmmhmm...Well than..." I punched her.

Just the face, I was careful not to break anything. She wasn't expecting it though, and fell to the ground. I turned and walked back to the throne, changing back into Odin.

"Guards!" Five men entered back through the doors. "Put her in Loki's old cell for lies, deception, and threatening." I ordered.

Sitting, I watch Mari get up off the floor and be escorted out. She shakes them off and walks ahead of the them. Just before she goes through the door she turns to me. She smiles, gives me a wink, and walks onward to the dungeons.

I think I just got my wish for something interesting. This should be fun...

A/N

So you know, Mari is pronounced like Loki (mah-ree).

So I came up with this idea right after watching Thor: The Dark World (which was AMAZING, by the way).

If your wondering about the weird tenses, I was trying to write in the present tense. I don't think I'll write like it anymore. Unless you like it, then TELL ME!!!!

So I'm going to keep writing this but I need to know if people want me to keep posting this story. So PLEASE comment and vote and tell me what you think!!!
