It's been such a long time since I talked to Nick, 2 years to be exact. Even though we broke up, I still like him but the truth is I don't want to. He's like a drug, once you get some, you can't get enough and when you lose him, it's like trying to put your world back together but it keeps crashing all around you.
I tried my hardest not to stare, but his 8 pack was just too tempting as he canon balled into the pool flawlessly and flicked the water out of his caramel hair. His blue-green eyes were a sea I got lost in every time, as he looked at my bikini. I flushed when he realized that I was checking him out and he smirked at me.
I was in the middle of getting a lemonade from the cafe when everything went upside down, and all I could see was a swim trunk clad body, with a tan muscular back.
~ Let's go back in time... ~
Nick and I grew up together in Malibu and we were besties when we were kids. Our fathers were business partners and when our parents moved, so did we. We moved to Malibu from New York and we always stuck together till we realized we were perfect for each other and dated in the 7th grade all the way through 8th grade, now were in 10th grade and he's playing with girls.
~ Back to normal time ~
"Hey, put me down! Right now!" I hissed as my nails clawed at his back and my fists kept hammering at his sculpted greek body of a- get it together Caroline!!!
"Okay," he shrugged, I felt the blood swish around my brain as he did a sharp 180 and threw me into the pool.
The water filled my ears as I sank to the bottom before pushing myself to the top. I could hear his laugh through the water and his body curled up in delight as his frame shook.
I gasped for air when I reached the top and boy did it feel so good to finally be able to breathe again. I made sure I flicked the water out of my hair and nibbled on my lower lip as I saw every boy hang on my every move. I even saw Steve the captain of the football team staring. My eyes slowly surveyed the area and when my gaze landed in Nick, he had his square jaw locked as he sent a murderous glare in Steve's direction.
I couldn't help but giggle when I saw his angry stance turn into a childish pout. He slowly knelt by the pool and whispered "this isn't over yet Anderson!"
I grabbed upwards and pulled him in; diving under the water to hide from his landing. "this is a battle you'll never win, but good luck if you decide to challenge me again!" I said arching my eyebrow to meet his questioning gaze.
