chapter 3~ Temptation

I tossed and turned, trying to find the perfect position to pursue my sleep. My eyes flew open and it looks like we are at my house. I felt Nick's gaze on me as i blushed profoundly. He leaned in and my eyes fluttered in anticipation. I finally got to my senses and pushed him away.
His eyes became unreadable when i saw flash of hurt pass through them.

Suddenly, my body was encompassed in a warm embrace. I slowly opened my left eye and caught a glance at Nicks sculpted face. I slowed my breathing to create the illusion that i was still asleep realizing that it had been dream. A dream that I has silently hoped was reality because of last words before he drove me home. 

He tilted his head when he sensed my movement and i shifted my body still trying to fooling him. He opened the door to my parents house using his spare key, and to no surprise, my parents weren't home. He walked up the stairs folding my tall frame to fit. Pushing my bedroom door open with his hip, he placed me on the bed and sat beside me with his back facing me.

I took a deep breath and screamed
"Boo" at the top of my lungs, he jumped and looked so terrified as his dilated pupils found mine. I burst into a laughing fit while swatting away his playful hits after the initial shock.

Our eyes met for a split second and we both looked at the picture frame on my black and red bedside table. It was a day we all remember dearly but i always hoped I'd forget with time.

*Flash back*

Vacation in Rome

"Nick! Where are we going?" i giggled as he tugged on my arm urging me to keep running though the busy streets of Rome which we were familiar with.

"There's someone you gotta meet!" he hollered with a broad smile

We ran down the streets of Rome till we reached a hidden park. It was beautiful, there were roses and other fragrant flowers that caught my attention. As we approached, there was a boy with curly blonde locks looking at a large red rose that was in the middle of the garden. He turned around apon hearing our shoes and his hazel eyes focused on us as his eyes lit up.

" Nicholas!" he yelled waving his arm wildly in the air with pure excitement .

"Hi, I'm Louis. But everyone calls me Lou ." the boy exclaimed enthusiastically. Giving me a lopsided grin.

"I'm Caroline." I croaked as he squeezed me in a tight embrace.

We ran around the garden and played games like hide and seek and tag.

The sunset was falling upon us up the sky turned a beautiful shade of purples and pink with oranges and hints of blue. We all sat at the bench watching as the sun went down, staring in awe. It was the most beautiful thing we had ever seen.

"it's astonishingly beautiful " I cooed starting at the sky in wonder. All we saw in New York were the pretty lights.

"But it's not as pretty as you! " Nick replied. I blushed profoundly and looked at the ground.

Soon after a round of 'What's the time Mr Wolf ' we had to sadly part ways with Louis but we promised to see each other soon, little did we know that was one of the last times we would see him.
