Is it going to be okay? I can't tell. That's is the first though to come to my mind when I wake up. I'm guessing it's the next day, because I feel well resting.
There is nothing to do in this cell, accept think.
I wonder where Fin is right now.
Are they torturing him?
Did they kill him?
Or has he escaped?
Maybe he is on his way...right now.
What if he is still mad at me?
What if he doesn't want to save me?
I tell myself that's not true. Fin is my brother. No matter how mad he is, he would never leave me here to die.
I hear footsteps outside the cell in what I'm guessing is a hallway. They are getting closer. I look at Sandy. She is still sleeping. I quick move over to the place where I had originally been laying. I close my eyes pretending to be asleep.
The footsteps stop right outside the door to the cell. I can hear distorted voices of, I'm guessing, Storm Troopers.
I open my eyes slightly to see the door sliding open. Light fills the dark cell. Not sunlight but artificial light. It practically blinds me and I snap my eyes shut for a moment.
A person in a white suit enters the cell and walks over to Sandy.
It's a Storm Trooper. I was right.
He attaches some sort of suction cups to both temples. Fin told about this device. It can get an idea if you are lying or not.
"Only Jedi's can fool the machine." He had told me.
I'm not a Jedi, so they can get any information they want out of me.
Then the thought hits me. This is why Fin never told me he was with the resistance. If I got captured, the first order could figure out, where I live and they get information for Fin. But then why would he tell Sandy.
I look over at my sister her eyes are open. The Storm Trooper starts asking her questions.
"Are you part of the resistance?"
"No."
"Did you know your brother was part of the resistance?"
"No."
Wait...what? I thought she knew.
The Storm Trooper looks at the box that connects to the suction cups. I am expecting him to ask again, since he knows she's lying, but, he doesn't.
He moves on to more questions. How is that possible?
She has tricked him....she has used the force.
I couldn't believe it. Did she really use the force? Maybe the machine is just broken. Then I see her eyes. She is in deep thought. Her hand is outspread, in her lap. My sister can use the force.
"Ok....does your brother over there know anything."
"No." She says again.
She not really lying. I really don't know much.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Is she telling the truth?" He turns around and looks at me.
"Yeah, I don't know anything. I've never even been away from-" I almost say Hoth, but I see Sandy shaking her head the slightest bit telling me not to. "Home, until now."
"Hmm. Ok." He turns and walks away.
The door closes and darkness fills our cell.
When my eyes adjust, I move over to sit next to Sandy.
"How come you never told me?" I ask, knowing she will understand.
She gets it. 'The Force?' She mouths out to me. They are probably cameras watching us, so we have to be careful what we say.
I nod my head.
"I don't know." She answers.
"Did Mom or Fin know?"
She shakes her head. We say no more....there's really nothing more to say.
I have come to a conclusion that my family is one of secrets. Some that are still to uncover.
