"Jace wait!" I said while frantically picking up my clothes on the floor. Jace continued to stomp back to the car. I ran after him. "Jace please." I chocked out while walking behind him. He walked on as if he heard nothing. "Jace I Love you!" I screamed. He immediately froze. his fists clenching and un-clenching. He slowly turned around. Pissed was an understatement to how mad he looked. He took a step forward, I took a step back.
"You do love me?" He said in a dangerously calm voice. Strong cassia, be strong. I stood a little taller.
"Yes Jace, I love you." I said in a whimper.
"LIES!" He screamed as he punched the tree behind me, missing my face by a few inches. Now I had froze completely. He took a deep breath. "Cassia if you loved me you would have waited for me, you wouldn't have been going out with that scum!" he screamed. I flinched at the sharp tone of his voice. Silent tears flew down my face. "Now get in the car!". I obeyed, practically running to the car. How could your mate be so harsh and cruel. I wanted to go home. Now. As he started up the car I turned away from him trying to control my sobbing and hiccups. The ride was dead silent. He stared at the road and I stared out the window. Was it wrong to go out with Holden and not wait for mate? Dylan had told me it was fine. Apparently he was wrong. I wiped my face with my sleeve attempting to clean up myself up. I didn't want the pack to see me like this. A big hand offered me a tissue. I looked up and saw Jace with a sad, soft expression on his face.
"Here, take this, I shouldn't have snapped at you like that." He said softly. I snatched the tissue from his hand. Dam right he shouldn't have snapped at me like that. He had no right to treat me like that. "Cassia I'm also sorry for what I said, its ok if you didn't wait, I overreacted." He said. His eyes pleaded for forgiveness. I almost fell for it, gave in. But that apology was no excuse for how he acted so I turned toward my window ignoring him.
Jace's P.O.V
I had really messed up a good day with my stupid temper! "Here, take this." I said trying to fix what I had messed up. "I Shouldn't have snapped at you like that." I said quietly. There was no reaction so I continued.
"Cassia I'm also sorry for what I said, its ok if you didn't wait, I overreacted." I said. I caught her attention and begged for forgiveness with my eyes. She just turned away. "Cassia I love you, I really do." My voice cracked at the end. She didn't seem phased.
Cassia's P.O.V
I had to listen to Jace's nonstop apologies for the entire ride. I had made up my decision. I would leave him, stay with Holden and live happily ever after unmated. He couldn't have expected me to drop everything and leave with him. The car stopped in front of my pack house. It must have not been a busy day. I was about to step out the car when Jace jumped out the front seat and ran to the other side of the car. He opened the door for me and I continued ignoring him. My eyes were glued on the floor. A warm clammy hand rapped around my upper arm. "Jace stop." I said quietly while trying to shrug him off me. His hand only tightened.. "Jace I said get off!". I used my other hand to pry his grip off. He bent down to my ear. He was so close I could feel his hot breath send shivers down my spine.
"Look cassia, you may not agree with me but you Will not reject me, You are mine." He said quiet and dangerous. "Do you understand?"
I quickly nodded my head. Was he really not going to let me reject him? I would have to find a way to change that.

Now that the food was on the table I sat uncomfortably by Jace with Holden and Dylan across the table from us. We weren't even ten minutes into the dinner and Jace was already causing trouble.
"So Holden" Jace said while precariously spinning pasta onto his fork."what was Cassia doing in the woods without you?" He said calmly. Dylan shifted uneasily in his seat.
"She had left without telling me, but all that matters now is she's back." Holden smiled toward me. I returned the smile earning a scowl from Jace. He quickly composed himself.
"Don't you think you should watch cassia more closely. You practically welcomed danger to her...an unmated wolf in the woods." Holden's jaw clenched, jace seeing this smirked in victory.
"Well sometimes you cant always control love." He said. His voice rose a little. Now i had shifted uneasily in my seat . I had to stop whatever was about to happen.
" Yes Holden's right Jace. So Dylan how are things going with the uh pack celebration plan." I said trying to ease away from the tense subject. Dylan looked thankful for my subject change.
"Actually things are going really we-" Jace had interrupted Dylan.
"Holden i don't really think "Love" is loosing your girlfriend in the forest defenseless, don't you think someone more responsible should care for her...I dunno like a mate or something." Jace said while glaring at Holden. Holden returned the glare back, if looks could really kill they would both be dead. Holden stood up from his chair.
"Why do you care she's not your mate!"
"I care because she deserves better than Shit like you!" Jace said while also standing up.
"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY THAT. CASSIA IS MINE!" Holden said slamming his fist on the table. Jace was beyond furious now.
"You really don't know do you" Jace said harshly laughing. Holden gave him a confused stare.
"What?"
"Cassia's my mate Holden. She is mine, the only one made for me And Only me!" Holden jaw had dropped, and i had just looked down at my plate awkwardly. He finally knew.
"GET OUT!" Holden said charging at Jace. Jace immediately Shoved Holden into the wall. Holden quickly recovered and his fist connected with Jace's jaw. After that they were on the floor practically killing each other.
"STOP! Holden, Jace! STOP!" I screamed as tears threatened to fall. Dylan just watched them in shock. "DYLAN DO SOMETHING!" I screamed. He immediately snapped out of it and went into action. A minute later Dylan stood in front of Holden keeping him under controll and Jace stood in front of me protectively. They were both still fuming and breathing heavy from the fight, covered in fresh bruises that would soon heal.
"Jace I suggest you leave. We can handle this another time- somewhere more appropriate." Dylan said using his alpha tone. Jace shot glares through Dylan that reached Holden. He nodded. But not before he cupped my face and pulled me into a kiss. My first reaction was to not react but his hungry lips left me no choice. Their was fire a certain passion and hunger running through this kiss. I could help but moan as his tongue slipped into my mouth. Before we could take this any further, Holden's shouting brought me back to reality. What the hell was I doing! I immediately pulled away. Jace's eyes flashed with hurt but was quickly covered with anger.
"GET YOUR GOD DAMN HANDS OFF MY GIRLFRIEND AND LEAVE!" Holden shouted. Jace began to walk out but hesitated and turned.
" You may think Cassia's your's but just you wait." He laughed like he was finally loosing all the sanity he had. "I'm gonna get her back, she'll practically come crawling back to me, and you'll see you don't mean SHIT to her."
With that Jace was out the house and me and Dylan were left jaw dropped. Looks like rejecting Jace just got a lot more complicated.
