Jace's P.O.V

It was early morning and the reds and pinks were still being sorted in the sky. Outside was peaceful, However inside was a train wreck. My clothes were strewn across the floor along with old chip bags and plastic cups. I slowly lifted myself off my unmade bed and flicked the light switch on. The reflection was enough to make a toddler cry. Dried drool ran down the side of my neck and crusted in the tiny fibers of my unshaven cheek. My eyes looked like individuall double chins tinted purple. She was doing it. Our mate bond being apart this long had not only emotionally hurt it physically did also. I wanted him dead. I wanted to drive up there, rip his head off and leave it for the coyotes to scavenge on. My plan seemed just fine in my head but Aiden said that Dylan wouldn't exactly "approve" of me tearing his Beta limb from limb. I splashed water on my face. Hoping the cold sensation would get rid of my morning haziness. It only seemed to add to my growing migraine. I cursed and slammed the water handle to off.

"MARGRET!" I yelled resting my weight on the sink counter. As if on cue the petite red head came bustling in.

"Yes, Alpha?" She said quietly.

"Get the damned Motrin, my head is pounding." I said rubbing my temples. She scurried out of the bathroom to get me my pills. I walked out of the bathroom and collapsed on my couch. I didn't bother with turning the TV on, loud noise would only make my current condition worse. I slowly closed my eyes and try to think "happy thoughts". Sunsets, Clouds, Birds, Pups, Cassia, Cassia, Cassia. No matter what, my mind always came back to cassia. Her hair, her smile, her laugh, even her rebellion gave me heartache. There was a small tentative knock on the door. I assumed it was Margaret back with my pills. When I opened the door their was a small tremulous Margret and a confident, cocky Aiden who proceeded to stride past me and into my room.

"What is this? He is not my pills." I said to Margret. Glancing at Aiden who was now flipping through channels, collapsed on my sofa.

"S-sorry Alpha, H-he requested t-that I take him to your room. H-h-ere are your pills Alpha." she said slightly nodding her head and extending a shaky arm. I took the bottle of Motrin from the poor girls hand. I sighed and shook my head, glancing toward Aiden. "Sorry for the trouble he has caused, you may go now."

The girl left at the speed of light and I slowly shut the door.

"You gotta stop doing that." I said, taking a seat next to Aiden on the sofa. He flashed a toothy grin.

"Doing what?"

"Terrifying my maids, and coming in here unannounced." I said rolling my eyes.

"Whats wrong with coming here "unannounced", isni't like you were doing anything important." he said nonchalantly re focused on the blaring TV. I scoffed and grabbed the remote turning off the TV.

"How do you know I'm not busy, I could have stuff to do."

"Jace, your room looks like tornado remains, you haven't done anything productive all day." Aiden hopped off the couch." You know what, I'm tired of you moping around, lets go were going out." he said looking down on me. I slowly sat up.

"Alright, but whatever it is you'r paying."

Cassia's P.O.V

"Have you seen Sayrose?" I said to Dylan. I leaned against the hallway wall. The windows brightly lighting the place with a glow I didn't seem to have today.

"Yeah she's in my office, you need her?" He said pausing.

"Why would she be in your office?"

Dylan's cheeks flushed red with embarrassment, " She um- we needed to um-" Cassia slapped her brothers arm.

"Ew t.m.i, pervert, just bring me to her."

Dylan walked down the hallway to his office as I followed closely behind. When he opened the door Sayrose was softly sleeping on the couch wrapped in a blanket. Cassia cringed at the sight and shook her head.

"When she's awake tell her I was looking for her." I said about to leave. I slowly trudged back to my room. I was hoping we could go to a bar or a movie. I thought of all the things I could do today. Not one seemed appealing. I slowly shut the door behind me and stepped into the bathroom. I was horrid. eye bags like the grand canyon stretched on my face. Ever since I had woken up I had felt tired and drained. Only one thing could cure that, alcohol.

Jace's P.O.V

My head had finally felt funny and the nice buzz was like warm rolling waves in my head. I wasn't drunk. It took a lot to get a werewolf drunk, but I was pretty close to it.

"I-I think I need another one." I slured out, close to falling off the bar-stool. The bartender stopped and smiled at me. He went under the counter and grabbed a water.

"No, I don't think you need another one." he said laughing, while handing me the water bottle.  He had the audacity to defy and alpha. A stupid human! I grabbed his extended hand and slowly closed mine over his. I closed my hand tightly and watched as the bartenders face contoured with pain. There were some onlookers but I didn't care. This shit would learn his place. Out all of the noises in my head I had finally heard Aiden.

"Man, Let Go!" He yelled looking at me with concern. I let go of the bartender, he ran to the backroom clutching his hand. Letting out a loud sigh, Aiden leaned close to my ear.

"Dude you almost turned. Your eyes are glowing. We gotta go." Aiden said getting off his bar stool  and handing me shaded sun glasses. I pushed them on and began walking to the car. I abruptly stopped as the world seemed to spin. Aiden crashed into my back.

"What the hell, keep walking." He said irritated. I put my hand up.

"Wait, I smell something." I said looking around. I looked left and right, the intoxicating scent seemed to be everywhere. My eyes landed on the girl that had been plaguing me for day's. She was absolutely irresistible. I walked over to her and she hadn't seem to notice me. I walked over to her calmly, though I wanted to sprint there. I tapped her shoulder and she turned around looking ready to ward of a bar fly. When she noticed it was me she choked on her drink. I rubbed her back in smooth circles until she could regain the ability to breathe normally. I let my hand rest on her upper arm. She looked at me, mouth agape. Like a deer in headlights. A grin spread across my face. "Hey love, long time no see."
