When I got home, I threw my book bag on the ground, and plopped myself on the couch. My dad wasn't home just yet. Miya was inside though.
"Emma? Is that you?" She called from the kitchen. I sighed.
"Yes, Miya! I'm home from school!" I replied.
"Oh, good! I really need your help! Can you come in here really quick, please?" She asked me in a bubbly voice. I rolled my eyes, and sighed heavy, yet again, and said sarcastically,
"Yes, Miya." I lazily got up, and forced myself to the kitchen. Miya was trying to make something.
"Hey, Miya. You need some help there?" I asked. She smiled.
"No, but thank you, Emma. I actually need you to stop by your father's work, and talk to him." I was confused.
"Why?" I asked. She smiled.
"Just go, please, Emma."
"Okay..." I said, curious about what was going on. I walked out the door, and saw Ricky walking towards the house.
