There was a guy.
He was smart, and funny, and kind. And sexy. He was also your waiter. You watched him pour some more coffee for the old couple across from you. His arms. So perfect.
"Babe", Abel said in an irritated voice across from you.
"What? Did you call me?" You quickly look back at Abel hoping he didn't notice you checking the waiter out. He quickly side glances at the waiter then narrows his eyes at you.
"Nevermind."
"No, what were you going to say?"
"I'll tell you later. Don't wanna distract you from checking out your boyfriend over there"
You freeze but try to play cool by rolling your eyes and sighing,"I was just checking to see if he was finished with that couple so we can order." He ignores you and looks out the window beside him, you open your mouth to say something but before you can the sexy waiter comes up and asks if you're ready to order. You bite your lip and stare at him for a minute. Sexy blue eyes, milk chocolate skin tone, perfect jaw line. You notice Abel watching you angrily from across the table,"I'll just get my usual please" You say without looking at him. He nods and then turns to Abel asking for his order. Abel gives him a dirty look then goes back to staring out the window. You tell the waiter he's not hungry and he walks off. Once he's gone you glare at Abel.
"What?" He spits angrily, looking up at you.
"That was rude", you scold him,"He didn't do anything to you".
"No. What's rude is you staring at some other nigga while you're here with me."
You look out the window for a minute trying to figure out something to say back to him. You end up looking out the window for too long, you turn back to Abel as he rolls his eyes and gets up.
"Where are you going?" You ask as he starts to walk away.
"I have to piss", you can hear the annoyance in his voice as he starts walking away.
The waiter then walks up with your order, sets it on the table, and sits in Abels place.
"I missed you last night", he said.
You shush him quickly,"Be quiet! We aren't supposed to talk about our meet ups."
"Meet ups", he chuckles,"You mean fuck sessions."
You look around to make sure nobody is listening, especially Abel.
"Who are you looking for?" Sexy waiter asks (his name is Mason).
"Well, I'm kind of here with my boyfriend."
"You mean the guy with the hair? He left like five minutes ago, I saw him walk out."
"What!?" You leave Mason sitting at the table as you stand up and exit the diner. The car is gone. Abel left.
~
"Thanks for the ride." You say to Nina ad she drops you off at home. She waves and drives off. I can't believe he just fucking left me at the diner. He's about to catch these hands when I get inside. You open the door to find a bunch of suitcases in the doorway, Abel skips down the stairs zipping up his leather jacket.
He looks at you and starts grabbing the suitcases without speaking.
"You're overreacting" You say as you begin to panic. He drops the suitcases he was carrying and turns to face you. You get angry now "You're seriously this mad that I fucking looked at somebody!" Now Abels angry.
"You can stop fucking lying to me!" He growls "I know about the little sleep overs you've been having with him!"
Tears. You can feel tears starting to gather up in your eyes.
"Abel", tears start pouring down your face,"I'm so sorry."
"Save it" He whispers picking up his suitcases.
Outside La Mar pulls up in the driveway, Abel packs his things inside the trunk and gets into the front seat. You watch, tears falling down your face, as the car pulls out (unlike your dad) of the driveway and drives off down the road. You sit in the doorway sobbing, refusing to move. He's gone. You stand up and sit in your room on your bed clutching your knees to your chest trying to ignore the hole in your chest. You think of when you first met Abel at a meet and greet. And when you were making out on the bed and he told you he loved you... and now it's over. The hole in your chest refuses to go away, you bury your head in your knees trying to stop thinking of Abel and the pain you feel in your chest. You need something to fill the hole. Some way to forget about him. You grab your phone from the nightstand beside you and dial a number. After three rings he answers.
"Hello?"
"Hey Mason... can I come over?"
