" what do you mean superman sucks?!" I say too Jake in disbelief. We ended up watching superman vs. batman and we totally took sides. " he just does, he's a pretty boy who gets all that he wants ... He's a momma boy too" Jake shrugs as he takes a sip of his beer. Luckily I had beer around and I offered and he didn't say no. " but he has powers , he's hot as hell , super strong and has X-ray vision plus he looks hot in glasses" I say shaking my head and he shrugs. " batman is the man , he has the bat-mobile and a bunch of cool gadgets and a way better way of hiding his identity than some stupid glasses" he says.

" he's nothing without any of those things!" I say and Jake laughs. " you're really not gonna stop until I agree with you?" He asks while having a smirk on his face that makes him look ten times hotter than he is. "Nope!" I say and he chuckles.

" so , can I ask you why you ended up moving too Atlanta?" He asks. There's a very personal reason why I moved but of course I'm not gonna tell him... At least not right right now. " I just wanted somewhere new, somewhere where no one knows me and I don't know them " I shrug which technically wasn't a lie, it just wasn't the full truth. " I get it , I've always wanted too do something like that but I never had the guts " he says shaking his head. " well maybe some day you'll get the courage too , it's an awesome decision too make " i nod. " do you have any family here at least?" He asks. " nope , only people I know are my coworkers and you and every patient I meet for an hour or so everyday " I chuckle." You're a doctor?" He asks. " a dentist " I say and he nods. " that would explain the beautiful smile" he says and I blush. " maybe" I flirt back. " so how about you , you have a lot of family around here?" I say. " not much , I have a half sister who I barely even speak too and my dad and his wife " he says. " oh , you're mom lives away from here?" I ask. " uh no actually she got sick when I younger and passed away" he says taking a sip of his beer. " oh I'm so sorry , I didn't know ... Wow I'm stupid for asking that" I say feeling like a shit person. " hey , it's fine! This is why I asked you out so we can get to know each other " he says holding my hand reassuringly which causes me to get butterflies in my stomach.

" oh , I have ice cream and brownies for dessert , do you want some?" I ask him before things get awkward again. " sure! But can I use the bathroom first?" He asks and I nod. " its thru the hall too your left" I say pointing to where it was. " thanks " he says as he gets up and walks away. I get up and go to the kitchen and start taking out some ice cream from the freezer and take out the batch of brownies from the oven. "your bathroom smells great, very calming " jake jokes as he returns back." thank god , when i first moved in and it smelled awful, i bought a bunch of things too try and get rid of the smell" i say serving him the dessert. " well it worked , smells like a spa" he says taking the bowl out of my hands and i smile. 

" Mmm this is delicious" jake says taking a bite of the brownie ice cream mix."thanks , my own secret recipe , everything is homemade even the ice cream" i say taking a bite of my brownie." well its awesome " he says." thanks , i gotta say ... even though this date didn't go as plan it was fun" i say looking at him. " I'm really glad to hear that i thought that you would of been so mad you would of just shut the door on my face" he says. " well this was my first date so i gave you the benefit of the doubt " i say taking another bite of my dessert. " so this was your first date ever?" jake asks." yeah , i mean i went on a group date with some of my friends in high school but the guy i had been out with ended up flirting with our waitress and went home with her"i shrug." what a prick" he says and i nod in agreement." well next time, i'll take you out somewhere real nice , to make up for this and that other asshole's date" he says. " i actually really enjoyed this , lowkey nothing big , nothing too serious....i mean if  we would of went too that fancy place, i would have not acted like myself" i say truthfully." well , how about next time you pick what we do?" jake says leaning on the kitchen counter beside me and i can't help but blush. " sure , we can do a ride along" i say. " a girl like you on a ride along?' hmm i don't know about that" jake says. " excuse me? I'm tougher than i look mister" i say sticking out my chest and standing up straight trying to seem intimidating. " you're adorable " jake says booping my nose with his finger and i playfully smack his hand away. 

" I should get going , it's pretty late" he says down to me, he's not too much taller than i am but i slouch sometimes and he's a good 6feet tall while i'm probably 5'8. " alright ', i say trying not too sound too disappointed, i liked having him around." are you still going too the animal shelter tomorrow?" he asks." yeah, why?" i ask. " mind if i come along?" he asks." yeah sure...i'd like that" i smile." great , ill pick you up at 11" he says quickly kissing my cheek and leaves me standing in my kitchen with my cheeks heating up at his kiss. I've been on one date with this guy and he has me wrapped around his finger....
