Chapter 8
Maddie's P.O.V
My alarm has went off six times already, and I still wasn't out of bed. But I didn't think my mom would care much that I wasn't in class today. She was probably chewing the Dean's ass for what they had been doing to me. I hope she gave him the worse ass chewing she could, he deserved it.
I sighed, rolling over and slapping the snooze button, grinning at the green numbers. 12:43 p.m. I wasn't going to be in class today, and it was Thursday. That meant tomorrow after school, I could get us all together and we could start planning how to ruin a few people.
But first, I needed to brush my teeth. I sat up, stretching as I climbed out of the warm cocoon that had become my bed. Azura blinked at me, staying curled up on the extra pillow as I headed for the bathroom. I grabbed my tooth brush, sticking it under that water before putting the paste on it.
Someone was knocking, almost too lightly for me to hear. I sighed, turning off the water as I walked over to the door. I unlocked it, and came face to face with Kelsey. Ashton was behind her, giving me a small sleepy smile.
"Hey babe, do you have any coffee?" she asked, walking into my room and turning in a circle as she took everything in.
"No," I mumbled through toothpaste, as I went back to the bathroom to rinse my mouth. I cupped my hand, sipping the water before swishing it around in my mouth and spitting. What the hell was going on? I knew that we'd be seeing more of each other but I never thought that they would just show up. It was weird. Almost like everything had changed yesterday, and nothing was going to be the same. But I was kind of okay with that.
"What does your shirt say?" Ashton asked, leaning against the bathroom door jam and grinning at me. I looked away, tucking my hair behind my ear as I threw Kelsey a quick glance.
"I'm a fucking unicorn," I told him, barely managing to keep a straight face. It had the f word kind of beeped out but I liked it anyway. My mom hated it, and I think that was why I like it as much as I did.
"Wow," Ashton said, laughing. "Your mom has to hate it."
"She does," I replied with my own grin. I slipped past him, and turned opening my closet. I grabbed a pair of well worn skinnies, and a white frilly tank top. I was feeling kind of girly today, and this was my shirt when that happened. The fact that this shirt went with almost every outfit was beside the point.
"I'm going to have to let you redo my room," Kelsey said, seeming taken by my room. "This is brilliant, you should be an interior designer."
"Ha. I don't know about that, Abby always complains about the way I have it set up," I replied, closing the closet door. I didn't really think much about how I had my room set up. I had just known where I had wanted everything to go. The big and completely over stuffed chair was my throne, it was the chair that I had finally gotten to level fifty six in after having to restart four times. I would kill someone over my Skyrim if they touched it now. And it was for that reason I kept the game hidden in the floor of my closet, along with my money.
Abby had deleted it twice, Phil and Jason had deleted it once a piece. But they all had watched me curl around the controller, and try not to cry. The last time it was deleted, I stopped playing for a year. I just couldn't go through it all over again after losing all of my playing time.
"My dad just texted me, they're here and we're to meet them out front," Kelsey told me, looking up from her phone and smiling at me.
"Right," I said, walking in to the bathroom and stripping. I pulled on the clothes quickly, just shoving my hair behind my ears as I stumbled out of the bathroom. "Shoes, shoes?"
