I walked down the stairs, my heels clicking against the wood. The only one I saw was Nick, and he was sitting at the kitchen counter, looking at me as I came down. I swear, his jaw just about dropped to the floor.

"I know, I don't wear dresses often, but I decided why not." I said as I reached the final step, twirling in my dress. It wasn't skin tight, but it also wasn't super loose. It was navy blue, and I was wearing heels. I didn't have too many curves, but just enough for the dress to hug tightly.

"You look hot." He said to me, blinking.

"Stop drooling over me, and let's get out by everyone silly." I linked my arm in Nick's and he kissed the side of my head before we headed out to the Fourth of July party in our backyard. We had invited a few of our friends as well.

"Oh my gosh, Leighton, you look so beautiful." My mother gushed, coming over to me with her husband.

"Hey kiddo." He said to me, pulling me in for a hug. I hadn't seen much of Buck yesterday, so it was nice to see him. I didn't get to see them very often.

"Hey." I smiled, pushing a piece of straightened hair behind my ear. Nick's hand remained on my lower back, and I was pulled into his side as people came up to talk to us. I don't think he ever left my side. I was dying of hunger, so I went over to all the food, piling a variety of things on a paper plate.

After the party, we all got the backyard clean, then our families declared that they were all leaving tomorrow. I was so tired by the time Nick and I got up to our bedroom to change. It was now 9:30 at night, and the party began at 2 in the afternoon. We had already put Jonah to bed, but Rylan was wide awake and probably playing with her cousin, Belle.

Mika and Spencer were here, and that was probably why Nick hadn't left me alone all day. He kept an eye on my brother-in-law, sneering at Spencer anytime he looked in my direction. I was grateful that my husband was looking out for me, but maybe he could tone it down a bit.

"I'm gonna go get a water bottle, and see what's going on in the backyard. I'll get right back babe." I patted Nick's chest before going downstairs, still in my dress. After I got my water bottle from the fridge, I went to the backyard, seeing Spencer folding up the last table. I began to pick up confetti from the ground, but it didn't feel too great to bend down.

"Hey." Spencer's voice sounded behind me, and I was in instant panic. I didn't know what to do.

"Hey, Spenc." I hesitantly said, walking over to the side of the house to throw away the confetti in the trash can. I felt his lips on my skin soon enough, and we were on the side of the house where there were absolutely no windows.

"Spencer!" I screamed, trying to push him off me. Flashbacks of what my father did to me went through my head, and I wanted to cry, but forced myself not to. Not yet. Once he heard someone come outside and yell in disbelief, he got off me, seeing Mika running toward us. Along with Nick. Before I knew it, my husband punched him straight in the jaw. I guess he kind of deserved it, considering this is the fourth time this has happened.

Once my brother-in-law gained his composure, his jaw only simply bruised, Mika slapped him across the face. Hard. I only cowered against the house. Nick came over and put his arms around me, shushing me soothing as I shook. I squeezed my eyes shut, all I could hear was my younger sister screaming at her husband. The Jonas' were probably thinking we were all crazy.

"F*ck you Spencer!" Mika screamed before storming away. I opened my eyes, peeking at him, holding my sister's wedding ring in his palm, but he didn't seem sad. Almost like he had wanted this to happen. Without word, he went around the house, and we lost sight of him. I breathed a sigh of relief, and Nick cupped my face in his hands, his eyes darting all over me.

"Are you okay?"

"No." I whispered, looking down.

"Aw, baby." He brought my head to his chest, running his fingers through my hair. When he said the word 'baby' I cringed.

"There's something I need to tell you Nick."

"Okay."

"Actually, just come with me." I pulled him by the hand into the house. Our families were all in the kitchen, and they all looked at us as we walked in.

"Are you okay sweetie?" My mom came over and hugged me. She knew what I had been through when I was younger, and I'm sure Mika told her what just happened. I didn't know where she was. I nodded, excusing Nick and I.

"Open it." I handed him an envelope. Inside, was a thank you letter to him for being how amazing he is.

...thank you for being with me through my bad times, and helping me. Words cannot explain how much I love you Nick Jonas, and how much my love for you has grown over the years, and hopefully it will grow even stronger in the years to come. Thank you, for making me a mother once again." He read the last few sentences, but once the last word was said, a grin spread across his face.

"Really?" He asked. I nodded, pressing my lips together and dabbing away tears that were at the corners of my eyes. He took a step over to me, picking me up and twirling me. The same exact reaction he gave with the other two. I had always dreamed of having at least more then one child someday. It was going to be a much bigger job then having two already was, but I was ready to tackle it with the man I love.

"Are we going to tell everyone?" Nick asked in excitement. I thought about it for a second.

"Let me see what's up with Mika first. Okay babe?" I slipped out of his grasp, walking downstairs. I saw my younger sister in the living room with Rylan and Belle, playing candy land. I walked in, asking to talk to her.

"Are you okay Leighton? I am so sorry about him. If I had known sooner-"

"I'm fine Mika. It's you I'm worried about." I said, my hand on her leg as I looked in her blue green eyes. She closed them for a minute before opening them again.

"I knew after Belle was born that there wasn't a spark anymore. I just didn't want to leave him, for her sake. But I just can't take him anymore. Now that I know what he did to you...I cannot believe that man. Was this the first?" I shook my head no, and she gasped, looking sorry. I didn't want her to feel pity for me. No one had to.

"Fourth." I whispered. She was told what our father did to me, and he never touched her. Mika's three years younger then me, and when she turned about one, he left. Buck has always been her father. My sister gathered me in a hug.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I told her, squeezing her before letting go. I was planning on telling her.

"Are you excited to be an aunt?" I asked her, smirking. She was confused instantly. Mika cocked her head to the side, and I put my hand on my belly.

"You're...what...oh my goodness." A smile stretched on her face and she looked unexplainably happy. I nodded, smiling.
