Notifications (A Lapidot Fan-Fic)

Chapter 1: The New Phone

Peridot had just turned 15 and she could not be more excited. For the longest time her parents had made her use an older phone, which besides not being able to download apps, sent some bullying her way for how lame it was. Now that she was older her Parents finally let her get a smartphone. She squealed with delight and ran upstairs so she could begin using it. As she begins putting the phone numbers of all her friends she can't remember her friend Jasper's number. She types in what she thought was Jasper's number and texts her the following:

Peridot: Hey Jasper! I got a new phone today! :D :D

(Silence) (2 minutes later)

?????: Who is this? I think you got the wrong number.

Peridot: Oh I'm sorry. I just got a new phone
and I must have texted the wrong number.

?????: Oh that's alright. Once my mom got a new phone
and didn't tell me. I ended up thinking she was a stalker
and might have called her a few names by mistake. XD

Peridot: Wow! We're you grounded?

?????: Heck yes! She just about lost when she came home.
I was grounded for a month on the name calling alone!

Peridot: Lol! The closest thing I've ever
done to that was call a bully a *****.

Peridot: Shoot I said it again!

?????: Woah I hope your mom doesn't
snoop around on your phone.

Peridot: Nah my mom's not THAT strict.
Does you mom do that?
?????: All the time! I don't think there is one
conversion I've had that she doesn't know about.
Well the ones that I haven't deleted anyway. ;)

Peridot: Geez that's so weird.
Hey I never got your name.

Lapis: My names Lapis, Lapis Lazuli to be specific.

Peridot: That's a beautiful name! My name's
Peri, Peri Crystal. My friends call me Peridot.

Lapis: Well it's been a pleasure
talking to you Peridot!

Peridot: You too! :)

And just like that Peridot put down her phone to take a shower but before she went in she grabbed her phone real quick to update something. She added "Lapis Lazuli" to her contacts, and went back to her shower.
