My journey seemed so long ahead,

At times I wandered through lonely waters,

I climbed impossible mountains,

In a search I thought would never lead me anywhere.

I dreamed a dream like others have dreamt,

For a passionate kiss and a life of fulfillment,

My God pulled me from the depth,

And he caught me when I fell.

I have always had him walking along side of me,

He was writing the chapter I was so eager to read,

In the time when I was ready to give up and forfeit,

That was when he turned the page.

Thankful I am for the lessons I have learned,

My mistakes I made in the past I do not regret,

I am strong, I am happy, I am loved,

And I am in the cradling arms of my dream.
