Chapter 4
Jake's POV
As Nicole and Ellyce fastened their seatbelts, I started driving to the library. The twins were whispering something I could not understand. I ignored it and focused on the road.
When I parked the car, we all got out and went in the library. The girls went to the kid section while I looked around to see if I could find Ariana sitting in one of the tables.
She wasn't here, so maybe she was just running late.
I went to the nearest table, opened my phone and looked at my photos.
I came across the old ones and suddenly remembered everything that had happened.
Jay and I were going to the park.
We raced to the swings and I jumped for joy since I reached first.
We had a competition on who could reach the highest.
I remember falling of from the swing and fell on my butt. Jay helped me up and told me to go play on the monkey bars.
I was swinging quickly and somehow Jay took a picture of me while I was reaching for the other bar.
Those were good old times.
When I swiped my finger across the screen, the next picture was when Ellyce and Nicole was born.
Dad and mom were rushing out of the house and Jay obviously knew what was going on since he was the older one.
Later that day, Jay told me to go with him in his car and sit on the booster.
Jay asked the nurse where my mom was. We rode the elevator and Jay was practically pulling me to random corridors since I did not know what was going on at that time.
All I knew was that I was going to be a big brother like Jay.
We waited outside the room for I don't know how long since I fell asleep on Jay's lap and checked if the doctor or our dad would come out any sooner.
When we were finally allowed to see the baby, I was met a looking very tired mother and two babies wrapped in pink cloth, sleeping in her arms.
They both looked so cute! I tried carrying one of them and she started crying so I accidentally threw her at my brother who caught her just in time.
Dad told the nurse to take a picture all of us and told all of us to say "Twins!"
At that time, Jay was very careful with the twins and also was very playful with all of us even though the twins would fight with me alot.
Those were one of those times when I wished the world would just stay like this forever.
But sadly, life goes on.
The next picture was when I was on top of Jay's shoulders, smiling while holding my 4 gold medals. One for each event I joined.
I won my medals after my first competition in swimming. Jay was the only one there who supported me and helped me.
My parents weren't really so happy when I told them that I liked swimming because they were hoping I would be a soccer or football player.
Jay will always be there for me in life because I know he's watching me right now. And I hope that he's proud of what I have become.
I swiped my finger on the screen again and I saw the next picture.
It was me and Jay. At the cliff. The only place we go to escape reality together.
