I enter the mansion and close the large doors behind me, exhaustion slowly taking over me and making me collapse on the ground. I breathe a heavy sigh as soon as my knees hit the carpeted ground and all the unpleasant memories of Toshio's condition flood my mind.

"Shinju?" I hear a concerned voice and look up to see Subaru walking down the staircase while eyeing me in confusion.

"Perfect timing, Subaru! Come here!" I wave my arms instead of going up to him since all the energy had left me the moment I entered the house. He speeds up his walking before kneeling in front of me.

"What is it?"

"There's... a favour I want to ask of you." After hearing the hesitation in my voice, he furrows his eyebrows but nods nonetheless. "There's a dead body outside." I finally mutter after taking a deep breath and Subaru's eyes widen as he is taken aback by my boldness. "Not right-next-to-the-door outside but in-the-garden outside." I whisper and gulp down my saliva in nervousness before continuing. "It's Toshio. The guy I was fighting before, and I thought... we could bury him there- in the garden. No one should find out about this." I shake my head, dismissing any consequences if anyone were to discover.

"Why here? Out of all the places?" Is all he says before I look up at him, guilt in my eyes shining through. Seemingly, that is all that is needed for him to sigh and slowly nod his head as he looks away. "Alright, but I expect an explanation later." He gets up before I say anything further and opens the main door, already going to finish his task. I grab his wrist quickly and he turns around, his eyebrows furrowed in suspicion.

"Thank you," I whisper and let him go once he gives a nod of acknowledgement before leaving. I get up with shaky legs and begin walking towards the staircase so I can reach my room. Once I reach the top of the staircase, I see Laito coming out of his room not too far away from where I stand.

"Well, aren't you up early? I thought I heard some noise. Did you go on a walk before getting ready for graduation?" He walks closer as I tilt my head in confusion, making him stop in his tracks in front of me and stare at me in shock. "Did you forget about the graduation?"

"Wait! What? It's time for graduation already?! Wasn't it tomorrow?" Laito chuckles at me in bewilderment before dropping his arm along my shoulder.

"Honey, it is 'tomorrow' today. You're awfully funny sometimes."

"I didn't even sleep," I mutter as I stare at the floor, unbelieving of how much time I had spent outside worrying about everything.

"You didn't? Where were you, then? I mean- granted, we did sleep a lot later than usual because of what happened in the forest but..." He trails off, not knowing how to continue explaining his reasoning. I simply shake my head and turn to look at him.

"No, it's just me. Don't worry about it. I'll just go and ready."

"If you say so." He whispers. "But don't forget: you can always sleep after coming back from school!" He emphasizes and I shake my head, a chuckle escaping my lips as I begin walking to my room. Once he leaves the hallway, I sigh and tiredly walk over to open the door to my bedroom. I enter the room to find a beautiful dress laid out perfectly on my bed, the lavender shade seemingly illuminating the entire room. Beside the bed stood a pair of silver high heels, their elegance radiating all the way to me. I walk closer to find a note on top of the dress and pick it up.

Hey,

Don't think about it too much. Just wear this dress and heels before coming down. You've stressed out enough to continue doing so over a trivial matter such as a graduation dress.
