Shu's Twin

Yet another. Chapter 1

This was supposed to be a normal day, just like any other. Well, as normal a day could be with those pesky sacrifices. What is even the point of them? They just end up dying in a week or so after the brothers suck them dry. It's good enough I survive on pills instead of that disgusting blood.

I sigh and continue staring out the window, having the same thought I have whenever a new bride is about to arrive. It was some kind of a gut feeling and I didn't know how or why it happened so I just let it without questioning much. The limousine continues at a fairly constant speed while everyone else remains silent. My gaze turns back to my brothers, my ears buds in my ears, just like Shu's. I sigh yet again and place my head on Shu's shoulder as I observe my surroundings: Reiji quietly reading his book, Kanato talking to Teddy, Subaru looking out the window with a permanent scowl on his face, Ayato simply fiddling with his tie while Laito probably had something perverted in mind- it was always easier with Laito, to just look at his face and know what he is thinking.

The limousine eventually comes to halt and I lift my head and straighten up before stepping out, only to be surrounded by a hoard of students. A low growl escapes my lips in annoyance as I continue walking while trying my best to ignore their yells and shrieks.

It's been years since you've been seeing us, get over it already. Can't you see none of us is interested in your petty and clingy selves?

I spare the crowd one last glance before heading to my class, only to see Shu heading to the music room, as usual. With a change of mind, I decide to drag him back to the class for once so I grab his sleeve and pull him inside the room. Fortunately, and quite surprisingly, Shu follows along with no resistance, and when we enter the classroom, everyone turns to look at the "new" student being dragged by me. I sit him down next to me and he continues to slouch.

"Hey, Shu. You know, it won't hurt to go to class once in a while." I sit down and place my bag on the floor as he simply shrugs.

"Don't care."

"Well, I do. You're my twin and it is my responsibility to take care of everything you do." I say proudly and point to myself with a closed eye smile.

"Everything?" A smirk begins to form on his lips, which makes me determined to smack it right off. I contort my face in disgust and playfully insult him.

"Ew! You disgusting deadbeat, if you're thinking of something perverted again, I will smack you." I raise my hand next to my face to show him that I really will do it.

"Don't worry about it." I place my hand by my side again and look in front of the classroom, only to see a few of our classmates drawing several different things on the blackboard. Essentially, we both simply wait for the teacher to arrive and the class continues while I take some notes, both for myself and Shu. I had, however, lost track of Shu by the time school was over so here I was, looking around for him. When I enter the music room, expecting him to be there, I only find it empty and sigh at the fact that I will have to continue looking for him. Just as I am about to exit, I feel a pair of arms slip around my waist, wrapping me in a bear-hug.

"Looking for me?" Shu nudges my head by bumping the side of his head into mine and I turn around to fold my arms and glare playfully at him.

"Indeed, I am. The brothers are waiting, come on!" I grab his arm and drag him towards the limousine while the brothers wait inside for us. "Sorry for the delay, everyone. Someone was being a lazy ass." I roll my eyes as I sit down and plug my earphones in, getting ready to drift off to sleep.
