~Chapter 3 ~

Aurora's Mother

We left Aurora in the company of her best friend Caron.

Me and my husband are going to go see Uncle Conroy and if you don't remember , the wise one. He may have the answer to our questions.

"What is it that brings you two lovely people here?" Uncle Conroy asks as soon as he sees us.

"Aurora! " is my one word reply and that is enough for him to get up from his place and go on full alert mode.

"What happened to her? Is she fine? Where is she? " he starts shooting questions after questions on us and that makes our heart swell with respect for the man standing in front us. I swear he cares about Aura more than anyone else alive. He truly cares about her like his own daughter. His daughter was killed.

She was similar to Aura in her behavior, she was like the life of the pack, when she was killed , it was like all joy was sucked out from our pack, everybody loved her , like their own daughter, she was compassionate, kind, caring, loving and knew how to empathize with anyone.

Cole chuckles at this and then shakes his head, "No Uncle, nothing to worry about. It's just that..." he stops mid sentence, not able to find the right words, so Uncle turns towards me with questioning eyes.

"Actually today, after months of trying hard, Aura lifted herself up in the air but suddenly she..." I could not form the exact words how to tell him as we our self do not know what actually happened as we were not there to witness it.

"What Yola, say child." he said reassuringly.

"She said she was feeling very light and happy but that did not last long as she suddenly, out of nowhere felt her light dim and the next second she fell down and fainted." I told him and took a deep breath.

"It's just Uncle, that it's the first time something like this happened, you know in the last seventeen years since she was born, she had never got ill but this happening out of nowhere, should definitely have a valid reason." I explain him my point of worry.

He seemed to be lost in thought but then he turned around and went towards the window, it was dusk right now and you could see the crescent moon rising high up in the sky brightly , starting to illuminate the night sky.

"I think that it's time she finds her mate. Everyone knows that almost every werewolf find their mate by the age 18 or 21 and you know she is going to be 18 soon. Not only this but her mate should possibly be an Alpha as she herself has alpha blood running through her veins and we know how powerful she is  so the moon goddess would have definitely chosen someone strong for her. And for such a powerful, unique wolf born, I can tell their mate bond would be extremely strong. If any one of them gets hurt no matter where the other mate is, whether they have found each other or not, but they will feel the pain and not only this but if one mate did something wrong, something evil than it will have an effect on the other mate. In Aurora's case from what you have told me, I can come up with only one conclusion and that is her mate may be  the only reason behind her getting fainted and her light losing it's shine for even a millisecond, because that means her mate did something bad, something evil and that means he is going on the wrong path and So... " Uncle explained but was cut off by Cole.

"So that means we better find her mate soon, to stop him from taking the wrong path."

"Yes Cole. " was all the reply Uncle gave and that was the end of our conversation.

"But how is my Aura going to find her mate, it's not safe for her to go search for him alone as she would be in too much danger,that would mean going into enemy territory without any weapons, even though I know she can protect herself but I can't stop myself from worrying about her . My child has the heart of gold and she is not yet ready to kill someone for her safety." I say .

Since we came back I have been doing only one thing and that is thinking of what is it that we can do, so that Aura can find who her mate is.

"What is it dear that has you so worked up? " my husband Cole asks.

I tell him what I have been thinking about, he too thinks over it and then after two minutes  his face lits up.

"What! What idea did you came with?" I ask him.

"How can we forget that our son has just turned 18 last month. So we can organize a party and invite each and every alpha to it. We can formally or informally whatever way you feel better will introduce him as the soon to be Alpha of our pack .

"If you forgot our pack is one of the strongest pack in this werewolf kingdom. So they will be bound to come to the gathering. What do you say?" Cole asks me and all I do is give him a full on excellent white smile.

I go and hug him tightly.

"I knew you will definitely think of something. " I say and get up to make the preparations.
