~Chapter 8~

Aurora's P.O.V.

Just as the outline of my home came into my view, my wolf Dawn spoke,

Time to try it.

I close my eyes and see nothing but blackness , Concentrate on the place, imagine it with all your strength.

I soon start to see the dim outline of my home, gradually getting more brighter, then finally I see the backyard and With as much force I could muster I push myself to reach there .

I feel hands around my body as if I was in someone's arms . I slowly open my eyes to see Nero smirking at me and holding me by my waist.

I push him away and he leaves me immediately.

" I see, cheating. Were we? " he says folding his arms and shaking his head.

"That was not cheating. You cheated , how did you come first." I say and try to get over the fact that I lost even after using teleportation.

" Well, you see sometimes it's not about your strength, size or abilities but speed. Even after being fast Rabbit lost why ? Because he was overconfident and underestimated his opponent. The same way you did, you thought by using teleportation you will win but dear, Those seconds you spent concentrating on your destination, was all it took for me to win. I advice you to work more on it before using it the next time. You never know when it may turn out against your favour like it just did." With that said he turns around and goes inside the house leaving me speechless there.

" Can you please tell me that it was all my hallucination. I did not lose to a male werewolf in race, that too in my territory." I groan for the umpteenth time.

"Get over it Aura. It was just a race and you did not lose it to any male werewolf but your mate." Caron says.

"That's the point. I lost to my mate. I am already being looked down now. I can't believe it, I was just a few steps away from winning and Moon goddess chose to make me fail. " I reply and huff angrily.

"See Aura, This is the problem you have. You are not ready to accept that you have flaws, you are not perfect and you are definitely not ready to have your stand out there yet. You need more practise. " Caron says calmly .

"Fuck Practise, I have been working my ass off since the day I could stand, and it's been what seventeen years already and yet I am not capable to teleport myself in the time being. I can't harness any power of mine perfectly so far , what else is left there to say. " I shout at her and jump out the window of my room turning into my wolf and running into the woods.

I hear her shouting my name but soon it grows distant and all I could hear were the voice my feet  were making as they hit the surface with full force.

From somewhere distant I could hear the  hooting of an owl, sound of a stream just down south barely a few steps away and then out of nowhere  I  hear a squeak, a squeak so high pitched , like someone is scratching on our ear drum and poking it with a needle.

I immediately put my hands on my ears turning into my human form.

The voice fades away and no sound other than of my increased heartbeat could be heard.

"You should not be out here at this time Aurora." I hear his voice behind me, a bit gruff and a little out of breath. Out of breath, why?

"What are you doing here, following me. Do you not have better things to do Alpha Nero Steele Porter . " I say with stiffness and taunting in my voice.

" Caron told me that you ran out of the house and it's not safe out in the woods at this time." he says and I snort.

"Do you even know that I live here, this is my territory and where you are standing I learnt to walk right there. Nothing can harm me as long as I am here." I say and stand up while dusting myself to remove any dirt.

"Oh really but the way you were holding your ears , and lying down in the ground in pain showed something else." he says and crosses his arms over his chest.

I immediately go to him and hold him by his collar , " It was nothing, don't you dare spread the word about it."

Nero's P.O.V.

The next thing happened in a few seconds , she was holding me by collar and saying something of which I only heard bits and pieces dare spread word , I understood what she meant but I was busy staring at her, the way she was so close to me and yet too far away.

Kiss her Nero, kiss the shit out of her. My wolf, Steele said.

And I immediately came back to my senses.

I grab hold of her hand and twist her around, so that her back was pressed against my chest.

I lowered my head down and with as much coldness I could muster in my voice , I spoke.

" You listen to me, stop treating me like dirt, I am an Alpha and if it would have been someone else behaving like this, that someone would have been dead by now. Maintain  your distance and behaviour and Don't you dare say another word to me. "

My insides felt as if someone scratched them with a dagger , I felt like collapsing right there and do nothing. I felt like taking all my words back but words are something which once said can never be taken away.

The next thing I feel is something soft hitting my shoulder , Aura's head and her face pale.

Aurora's P.O.V.

".......Don't you dare say another word to me. " Just as he finished speaking I felt all my insides get burn like literally on fire and no voice came out of my mouth.

I fell sick, terribly sick and before I knew I was again falling into darkness. Seemed like déjà vu.

Wooohoo, hello there :-) so who did you thought would have win lol. I played all of you smh. Mansi come back to your senses.

So any guesses as to why she fainted for no reason and what was the screeching noise she heard. The question for today can be taken as a hint ;)
