Akito's Choice

We had finally made it back from Sunagakure although Akito has been depressed ever since. Right now we were painting Mr. Taki's fence dark blue and Akito was doing a horrible job that Siri and I kept having to go back over and fix.
"Listen I know your upset about leaving Suna, but cheer up. Haven't you been a little home sick?" I ask getting rather tired having to fix up her mess.

She pouts and looks over at me. "No... I wasn't."
"Weren't you the one who said, "Who wants to stare at nothing but sand?"' Siri asks doing her last bit of painting.
"Yes... But it's not as bad when you have someone to stare at it with."
"Oh? Your lover Gaara by any chance?" I ask dodging out of her way before she could hit me with the paint brush. I might have blue eyes, but I'm not gonna have a blue face.

"Gaara isn't my lover!" Akito shouts chasing me all over Mr. Taki's yard. Kari sensei finally grabs Akito and calms her down.
"Phew I thought I was going to be feed to the dogs." I say with a sigh.
"What dogs?" Siri asks.
"Um, I don't know. Naruto told me over a bowl of ramen that his team had to walk dogs today."

"Man that would be so much more fun then painting a fence!" Akito shouts.
"Why do we have to do all this boring junk? We should have another mission that involves more action!" Ever since I retold the story that Naruto and Sasuke told me about the mission to the land of waves Akito has been furious raging on about how we didn't get some cool ninja guy trying to chop off all our heads.

"Calm down Akito. The Chunin exams are coming up anyway. So you'll get plenty of action there." Kari sensei says. After that Akito seemed to have become even more depressed then before.

"Akito?" I ask resting my hand on her shoulder. I hear her laugh shakily while scratching the back of her head.
"So what's next on the list sensei?" She asks ignoring me completely.

After painting Mr. Taki's fence we had to brush out all of Ms. Inuzuka's dogs. Who also happened to be Kiba's sister. Also since she ran a veterinarian for dogs you can imagine how long that took us. Every time Siri tried brushing out a dog it would pee on her...

"Ew, why does the dogs always pee on you?" Akito asks.
"Trust me I would love to know." Siri says not to pleased by the whole situation.

"Dogs usually pee when they're scared. Perhaps being a bit more gentle will help." Kiba's sister says.

After a good clean bath on Siri's part we went around to all the villagers houses and took out their garbage. Why they can't take it out themselves? The world may never know. We were now walking down the street Akito trying to annoy me by continuously poking my cheek and Siri wondering why she was trying to annoy me when Kari sensei suddenly stops and says she has somewhere to be.

"Like where?" Akito asks stopping her little game of 'annoy Ichirou'.
"Not something you guys would be interested in anyway. Well your off for the day, so have fun." We wave goodbye to our sensei and start walking down the street again.

"Well that was weird. What do you think it was about?" Siri asks.
"Probably the Chunin exams." I glance over at Akito whenever I say this to make sure it didn't hurt her, but it's like she didn't even hear me.
"Hey what's that?" Akito asks looking up ahead.

I turn my head in the direction she was pointing to, to see Naruto, Sakura, Konohamaru, and the two kids that always follow after him. We all three head their way and finally see the source to their problem.

"Oh, so now the sand ninja are on our turf, huh?" I ask mimicking what cat guy said to me when we first met.
"Not you again." He growls glaring at me.
"Awe, did you miss me that much?"
"Huh? How do you two know each other?!" Naruto asks glancing back and forth between Kankuro and I.
"He's the sand shinobi I told you about." I say with a shrug.
"Oh... That makes sense."
"Now that Ichirou is here we'll be okay..." I hear Sakura sigh with relief.
