I walk back to my house and I see that the lights are on. I know I didn't leave the lights on. I could call the cops but if it's nothing I wouldn't want to make a big scene. Or maybe I did leave the lights on. No I'm sure I didn't I always turn off the light before I leave.
I can call Ethan and Grayson but after what just happened I don't want to hear from them or see them in the next 24 hours because what just happened was awkward.
I walk to the backyard and I see someone on the couch watching tv. I grab the shovel that was on the grass and start to open the back door.
I slowly walk in and creep behind the person sitting on the couch. They stand up and I yell.
"Amanda Stop, it's me Amber" she says
I drop the shovel and hug Amber. I haven't seen her in a long time.
"What are you doing here" I ask her
"Oooo so now I don't live here anymore" she says sarcastically
"No it's that I thought you left for good. I'm just glad you are back" I say while I give her another hug
"So since you are here where is mom secret stash" she asks
"Her secret what?"
"Her secret stash she keeps all her money there and me and Joe don't have enough money" she says while she looks around
" so you didn't come back to stay" I say
"No im not dumb"
"If you stay we can be a happy family again it can be just the 4 of us without dad"
" that's exactly what mom said LOL, it will never be a perfect family, just give up hope " she says
"No, you know what just leave" I say seriously
"What ever" she says while she grabs her book bag
I stop her and she tries to hug me but I stop her.
"Open your bag" I tell her while pointing to the bag
She opens the bag and their was my moms jewelry inside, Stevens toys and my clothes.
"Are you serious you was going to sell our stuff for money" I say
She looks down and dumps all the stuff from her bag on to the floor. She walks out slowly and I follow.She stands in the doorway and looks at me.
" I love you Amber, but when you want to come home and stop this drama your room will always be waiting for you. I will always be waiting for you. Ready for my sister to come home"
I slam the door in her face and lock it. I know that's my sister but it's too much going on now with my parents and Steven and she isn't making anything better.
A hour later my mom comes home with Steven. I was going to tell her Amber stopped by but my mom already had too much on her mind I didn't want to make her worry more.
I walk to my room and see my phone is ringing.
A- hello?
E- yea it's Ethan
A-yes?
E- are you okay? You don't sound like how you usually sound
A-I'm fine
I knew I was lying but I didn't want to bother Ethan with my problems
E- okay so can I pick you up tomorrow around 1pm
A- it's a date?
E- yea and it's a surprise
A- okay I'll see you tomorrow
E- goodnight Amanda
A- goodnight Eth
I hang up and walk to Stevens room.
He was sleeping already and I sat on his bed. I started to stroak his hair.
"Steven I know you are hurt with mommy and daddy not being together but they will Always love you" I say
"I love you Steven we all love you" I say
I start to cry and I walk back to my room. I need to shower and get to bed anyway. I have a date tomorrow
