Justin's POV

"What should we be for Halloween?" I asked Geneva as I was lying on my stomach on top of her bed watching Bones as she sat at her desk working on an art project that was Halloween themed for obvious reasons.

"I really love The Purge, so maybe we could get those masks and be the murderous couple," she took a moment to look at me with a smirk.

"I'm not against that idea," I laughed. "Come work up here so I can see."

"I'm using pastels, babe. I don't want to ruin my comforter. My mom would probably kill me, she already hates that I even paint inside."

"Then let's go outside, it's a nice day. We could go to the park and have a picnic or something," I suggested and heard her pencil hit the desktop.

"A picnic?" her eyes lit up as her lips started to curve into a wide smile.

"Yeah, I remember once upon a time you said that you wanted to go on a picnic and I'd like to do that," I sat up and scooted toward the end of the bed, letting my legs dangle over as I clasped my hands together on my lap.

"Baby," she pushed her bottom lip out.

"Pack your shit," I joked and she playfully rolled her eyes while getting up from the rolling chair and started to gather her art materials. "When does your brother come back?"

"I think tomorrow, but since he's been dating Leilani..." she laughed and I did too.

Julian and I had gotten a lot closer over the last two months. He still threatened to kill me if I ever hurt Geneva or made her cry. I didn't take him seriously until we went paint balling. He had no mercy on me, but I damn sure put up a good fight. It was a lot of fun hanging out with him, just us two. I got to understanding his personality and I really respected him for being protective of Geneva and the unconditional love he held for her. He was a great guy to say the least.

"Oh, shit, you're right. She's pretty badass, though. All her tattoos and piercings, like just look at her," I showed Geneva the picture Julian sent me when he first started talking to Leilani.

"I know, she's pretty hot," Geneva nodded her head. "My mom loves her, which I find surprising because she always liked Julian to have a clean cut girlfriend. Leilani is far from that."

"But she's real chill and-"

"Do I have to warn Julian that you might try to steal her away?" Geneva joked as she pulled the straps of her backpack over her bare shoulders as she had on a black and gold lace bandeau that complimented her black high waisted side-slit skirt, which went down to her feet. She also had on these black gladiator sandals. She really loved wearing black.

"Nah, i'll just be stealthy about it," I winked, turning the TV off with the remote before hopping off of the bed and walking over to her.

"Hope it all works out," she leaned in and gave me a sweet kiss on the lips.
