Samara's POV

The room was an awkward silent as everyone stood around shocked. Well, most of everyone. August's mom seemed to be doing just fine as she and Nedra talked about life and Trey and Nikki's wedding while Hailey was glaring me down.

"Nedra why don't you go show grandma the pool?" August said and Nedra smiled, jumping up.

"That's a great idea! Come on, I'll show you what my swimming teacher taught me." Before I knew it the two were out the room which left August, Hailey and I.

"Maybe I should go with them," I offered.

"Yeah! Maybe you should you backstabbing bitch!"

"Excuse me?"

"Aye watch ya fuckin' language in ma' house." August said and I shook my head. "Matter of fact, I thought we just had this discussion. Fuck ya doin' here?"

"I came to apologize and ask to be friends but then this bitch-"

"The fuck I just say!" August yelled and she sighed before glaring at me once again.

"I'm sorry but she said she didn't know you."

"I never said that. I said that you shouldn't keep going after him."

"That was only after I said his name!" August raised an eyebrow towards that and I shook my head.

"Jealous?" He asked

"No."

"Liar," he said with a smile before Hailey coughed interrupting the moment.

"Look, why don't you go and make a sandwich or something, August and I have things to discuss." August opened his mouth but I interrupted.

"Fuck this shit!" I stood up and Hailey followed getting ready to fight. Right as I went to charge, August grabbed me and pulled me away from her.

"Aw fuck that August! She's asking for it."

"Calm down 'mara. Don't even worry bout that broad, iight? Focus on me," he said placing both hands on my hips to help calm me down and I felt myself losing some of my anger but still pissed.

"August I don't appreciate people calling me out my name."

"And she won't. I'll handle her but first I gotta make sure your straight."

"I'm good August. Just go handle her before I have to cause I'm coming for blood." August chuckled before he gave me one last look and picked up his cell phone dialing someone.

"Aye Ron, I need a favor. I got a broad who keep poppin' up and I need her out. Can you handle that?" August went quiet before mumbling 'iight thanks' before hanging up and turning to face Hailey.

"You got two choices. Leave na' or leave right fuckin' na' but regardless I don't eva' want to see you again and expect a restraining order."

"August you can't be serious. All because of this bitch?" I moved towards her and August gripped my hips a little tighter to keep me from moving.

"I told ya ass to watch ya fuckin'mouth in ma' house. Leave, ya dismissed." She gave me a glare before leaving the house leaving me to think.

How many women does this man really have?

"What you thinkin' bout?"

"Honestly. You," August grinned and I rolled my eyes. "Not like that."

"Why not?"

"Boy."

"I already told ya' I ain't no boy and if you would stop playin' around maybe a nigga could show ya' how much of a real man I am."
