"Five minutes until we start rolling!" The director called from outside the dressing room door and my makeup crew jumped into action.

"You excited to be back on set?" Angela, who was my least favorite makeup artist, inquired. Now Angela was nice enough but she loved to gossip and it didn't matter whose gossip it was. If you had some, she wanted to hear it.

"Yeah," I mumbled nonchalantly and she studied my face as she touched up my foundation with powder.

"You don't sound too excited. Did something happen?" She asked sounding concerned but the excitement that danced in her eyes gave away her real intentions. Gossip seeker.

"No, I just didn't get much sleep. You know how it is, nerves and all."

"Oh," she said not bothering to hide her disappointment but I couldn't find it in me to care. Last week I had fucked up with August, last week August had stopped calling my phone and last week I had lost the most important man in my life. How had I managed to get this attached so quickly I would never understand but August wasn't normal. He was... a special type of amazing. And I let him go.

"Earth to Samara?" Angela called waving a hand in front of me, bringing me out of my daze.

"Huh?"

"You must be really tired if you didn't hear Adrien call to start," she noted and I rolled my eyes before looking in the mirror. She might be intrusive but she sure as hell knew her makeup.

"Thanks."

"No problem," she said shrugging before I headed out of the room and onto our new set where the actors were waiting. I immediately made eye contact with Terry and he shot me a nervous smile that I returned. hopefully working with him wouldn't be too awkward.

"Alright guys, now you know sometimes I'm hard on you and I'm very serious but I just want to say I couldn't have asked for a better set of actors and crew to be working with. So let's get you out there and get this show renewed for another season," he said and everyone clapped before heading to our spots. Our set was simple; a dark alley with lights programmed to flicker to give off a dark vibe.

"Lights, camera, action!" The director called before we started rolling. The first scene I was supposed to get attacked and then saved by the man who I presumed to be dead. Following the script that I had memorized in my head, I walked through the alley and pretended to be oblivious to the man aka James who had been following me. We exchanged our lines before he made his move and attacked me by slamming me into the wall. Pretending to be in pain, I continued to let him 'attack me' waiting for Terry to run in like a superhero.

"Hey get off my mommy!" A familiar voice yelled before a small body launched herself onto James before pounding her small fists into his back.

"Samara?" He asked raising an eyebrow, slightly entertained.

"Nedra, he isn't hurting me."

"Not as long as I have a say in it," she yelled as she continued to beat him up or at least try to.

"Nedra we're acting. For the show remember," I told her before she slowly stopped hitting him.

"So you're not hurting Samara?"

"No. I promise."

"Oh. Well in that case, can you help me down please?" She asked politely and he complied before she ran to me.

"Nedra what are you doing here?"

"You told me I could come down and watch the first episode of the show remember?" She said and I mentally smacked myself. That's what August meant when he said see you Monday, not that he was actually going to come and see me.
