Josh was trying to be nice, Tyler knew that, but he just can't push away all the memories of falling on the ground and being kicked in his back, and that one asshole who thought it was fun to film the scenario and put it on twitter.

It's easy to say Tyler wasn't fond with the memories of others hurting him and him hurting himself.

But while Tyler was laying on his bed, listening to music and remembering the old times, a few blocks away Josh Dun and Debby Ryan were having sex.

Josh didn't feel anything but he didn't give a shit, he was sexually frustrated, so he wanted to. But honestly: Debby didn't feel anything either.

They were just two horny teens that care about their reputations. Perhaps you could say they were the epitome of it all.

And after the sex, Josh would go to the bathroom to pee, just to remember he fucking had to text Tyler.

And much to Tyler's dismay, he got the text 2 minutes later.

'Hey, it's Josh. When are we meeting for the project?'

And as much as Tyler didn't want to, he had to reply. Tyler had just wished Josh would never text him. Tyler had just wished he could do the project on his own. Tyler had just wished he could be and stay far, far away from Josh. But he had to do the project, and Josh refused to let Tyler do it on his own.

'My house after school?'

Was Tyler's reply. Short, but obvious enough, he reckoned. He didn't want to go full on with: 'I don't know, where could we do the project?' That would just cause more conversation with the guy he hated so much.

'Sure, I'm gonna need your address though.'

Josh replied a little later. Tyler sent his address as asked, turned around, and decided to get some sleep.

Tomorrow was going to be a long day.

And a long day it was. The first 3 hours felt like each class took a whole day to finish and the 2 hours after that went by a little faster, followed by another 2 hours that took ages to finish and the last hour was art, which went by pretty quickly.

And then Tyler went home to wait. Wait for Josh. Maybe wait for one of the worst afternoons ever, even.

Tyler wasn't ready for the inevitable mess of mixed feelings he had for Josh Dun. It scared him. He never would've wanted to interact with the older boy that would outside his door soon, but he didn't have any other choice.

If only he could do the fucking project alone.

But soon, Tyler found his feet moving towards the door that got knocked on, no doubt that it'd be the biggest asshole of the school.

"Hello." Josh says excitedly as Tyler opened the door, mumbling a small, negative sounding, 'hi' back.

Because, that was what Tyler basically was: a negative.

(A/N my sister looked over when i wrote that and i turned my phone away in 0.5 seconds ha i dont want her to know i write shitty gay fanfic ha bitch almost got me)

"You don't sound too happy, are you okay?" Josh asked, Tyler's confusion reaching as high as the top of the Mount Everest as to why Josh sounded so caring all of a sudden. Because why the fuck would he be worried about Tyler.

"As if you care." Tyler answered, the same negative tone to show the other boy he doesn't care who or what he is in this world, even though he kind of does. Because he did care how Josh thought about him. But yet there he was; back turned to Josh, wondering if it was the wrong decision to say that.
