He was about to open the door when this Denesse girl, collapsed.

"Damn it, are you drunk?" He scowled.

I immediately snatched the keys and opened the door wide.

"Thanks,  I'll just bring her to the room." He said and carried her inside.

"And the best actress award, goes to.." I looked around and found a woman wearing shorts, and a crop top leaning against the wall.

"What was that?"I asked.

"Oh, you heard that?" She laughed and puffed smoke in my face. I coughed. Another bitch, I thought.

"Yeah, is she an actress or what?"

"You're slow." She laughed again. "That's sarcasm, if you know what that means." She added.

"Of course I know what sarcasm is.."I walked inside.

"What she's trying to say is that, it's just a cry for attention." Another guy interrupted.

"Anyway, are you new here?" The smoker gal asked again.

"Yeah, I'm Gustav. And you are?"I offered my hand.

"What? Did I ask for your name?" She raised a brow and I frowned.

"Kidding, don't make that face again, you look horrible." She smirked. "I'm Sophie and this is Gab." She pointed at the guy who just went inside.

"Are you all Briane's friends?" I am just really curious, because I didn't even realized that a man as awesome as Briane are friends with bitches.

"Yeah. And, you'll meet more of us later." She replied.

"O-kaaay. So, just feel at home. Need to prepare some stuffs."

I let her in and went straight to the kitchen. I made sure that everything's complete but there's something in my head that makes me follow Briane and Denesse.

--

"YOU. ARE. DRUNK" Are heard him say with conviction.

I am standing in front of the door, trying to kill my curiosity on what they are doing inside.

"No I am not, come here." She tried to kiss him.

"Hey, stop." He gently pushed her. "You need to rest okay?" He added.

"No, what I need is you." I heard her chuckle.

"I'm outta here."He said.

"Why do I feel like that is a rejection?" She asked.

"Because that's what it is, I guess." He did not look at her.

"Look at me, Briane." He then turned around.

"And tell me that you don't like me anymore." She demanded.

"I don't li-.. What do you think you're doing?" He wasn't able to continue what he's saying yet asked the latter instead.

Denesse pulled down the front-closer zipper of her dress leaving her with her undies. There's a moment of silence and I don't know why I am feeling this way. This should not happen, because I don't usually fall in love easily. This is what my mind is telling me, yet my heart can't help pounding so hard.

"You liked me because of my body right? Now tell me you don't like me." She broke down into tears.

"You're judgmental Denesse, I am not after those. You see, you are far different from the woman you used to be. It make me feel uncomfortable." He looked down. "And besides, we never had any commitment, I made that clear to you even before. Right?" He added.

"So that's all for sex? You did not even loved me at all?" She asked and sat down on the floor.

"Love is just an unconvincing word for me, Denesse." He walked near her. "I am not just prepared for a commitment, I want to enjoy my life with no worries."

"Yes, but you're killing me Briane. Is it that hard for you to try? Am I not worth risking for?" She looked into his eyes.

"I'm so---" He wasn't able to continue what he's about to say because she kissed her. She kissed her passionately, full of love and affection.

I don't know what came across my mind but I just found myself pushing the door open.

"Oh, sorry. My bad." I was about to leave but..

"No, you did not bother anything.

"I'm sorry, Babe. We're just talking." He continued.

"Wait, what?" I asked, I am clueless.

"BABE. We are just talking." He emphasized.

"What did you just say?" She interrupted.

"BABE? Briane!" She screamed. "What the hell's wrong with you?" She pushed her.

"Nothing's wrong. I don't have to explain." He looked down again.

She looked at me with so much anger, and I want to hate her for that. But for now, may be I don't know anything on what's happening her right now, but I just want to feel it. I just want to seize every moment.

"Babe.." I called him.

I am not looking forward on any response but my heart almost jumped with joy when I saw him look at me with desire. I know that he's faking this scene, but you can't fake those eyes, that hidden desire.

"Are you mad?" He asked, and I almost smile. I almost forgot that we are just pretending. I cannot contain this feeling, these butterflies in my stomach, the giggles.

"No. I'll just wait for you outside. I don't want to ruin the night." I answered and walked away.

As I walked out of the room, I heard her scream, I heard her curse. I just don't care. What matters is, I had my own moment, I had him for a few seconds, he was able to let me feel like I'm whole, that he cares, that he's mine and nothing can ever take him away from me.

"What's that?"

"Oh, there you are Sophie."

"YOU'RE GAY? FVCK YOU!" Along with that line is a loud noise from our room.

"That's Denesse?" Sophie asked, she's with her overloaded vape again.

"Yeah, I think they had a fight."I answered. "Help me cook?" I pointed at the pasta ingredients, since we just reached the kitchen.

"Sure... Hmm.. Let me guess,"

"What?"

"Briane pretended that the two of you--"

"Yeah. How'd you know?" I frowned.

"Well, I'm not deaf. But, Denesse's stupid to believe that." She retorted.

"So she's stupid." I laughed. "What makes you think that Briane's stright?" I asked.

"Because I'm not stupid." She simply answered.

"Okay, so what makes you think that he'll not be into--"

"Same sex? Bi? Gay?" She chuckled. "Hey, stop pretending. I can feel that you're... you know. Well, I'm not sure if you're gay or bi." She explained as she washed her hands on the sink.

"And, don't dare deny it. I saw your face earlier. Don't worry, that'll be kept as a secret."She grinned.

"I don't know, but yeah. It's quite hard." I sighed.

"Just don't fall for him too hard. You might get hurt okay? Besides, that's just to keep Denesse away from him. Remember that."

"I know, and I don't need a reality check."I told her.

--

I'm busy chopping onions when I felt someone hugged me from the back.

"Thank you----"
