*Leo's POV*
There's a silver moon above her head, glimmering with a slight silver light, she's a daughter of artemis. I immediately gasp in shock aas this happens, the rest of the camp doing the same,
"Holy shit"
"What?" She says craning to take a look at the top of her head,
"Y-y-your a daughter of Artemis." I stutter
"So?" She continues
"She has never loved." Then she fainted.
I run into the 8th cabin, the silver light reflecting into the dark sky, I open the door and see all the beds perfectly made and an arrow fired into the wall, which is strange, when the hunters do come through camp half blood, they never leave any of their arrows behind, but what's more peculiar is that the arrow has a note attached to it and is probably for Maddy, I want to make her feel welcome in her new cabin, she'll be lonely here, she's the only one, I get her suitcase and start to put all her clothes away, I put away her t-shirts and jeans in the wardrobe, and leave the rest for her to do.
~the next day~
When I get to the infirmary I see that Maddy has woken up and that Jason and Piper are next to her, I see that they're saying something to her and she nods her head, smiling as she takes a drink of water and has a bandage on her wrist, she turns around and see's me, she's smiling and I start to walk towards her, Piper and Jason are smiling and grinning as I walk over. As soon as I get to her bed they both tackle me in a hug and I hear a giggle come from Maddy. I turn around and see her turn away a small blush starting to creep over her cheeks, a nymph walks over to us and starts to explain to Maddy about her wrist, Maddy just nods her head absently, her mind obviously in another place.
When I walk her to her cabin her eyes immediately shining when seeing the pale blue color, she opens the door slightly and peers inside seeing her suitcase opened and the neat cabin, she walks in and I wait at the door, she gives me a look and I just smile,
"May I come in?"
"Of course" We say in rather posh accents and I walk in, hanging my imaginary jacket on the back of the door, I walk behind her and see her pull the note off of the arrow in the wall, I walk up to her and start to read the note behind her back,
Dear Madeline,
I am your mother, Artemis, I'm so sorry for leaving you, but I know that you'll be strong about it, after all I am an independant god, I understand that this must confuse you greatly my daughter, but you'll understand when you get older and people are able to explain to you what is happening and why this has happened, to be honest, I don't know how I fell in love with your father, but I did, I know you're strong and independent, I want you to know, that you mean a lot more to me than you think Madeline,
Your mother,
Artemis.
I look over at Maddy's face and see that there are unshed tears in her eyes, I walk over and see that she's holding the now crumpled letter and the arrow to her chest,
"Do they do this for anyone else?" She asks, "The gods, do they stay in touch with their children?" She looks at me with hope shining in her eyes, she wants to see her mother at least once, know who she is, what she looks like, she's only new to being here, the greek gods, the way we live, she doesn't know that we barely see them or meet them, she's scared and confused I look at her and see her shaking her head as if to say no it was as if my silence was all she needed to confirm the fact that she won't meet her Mum, that she won't see her Dad again, her family is torn apart,
