*Maisie's P.O.V*
"Thank you so much, you won't regret giving me this job, I promise." I rambled to Jai and Priya. The interview went really way and I got the job! I was over the moon.
"No problem. We'll see you on Thursday, yeah?" Priya smiled.
"Yeah, okay. Bye!" I grinned, before leaving the office.
"Mai, what are you doing here?" Belle asked me as I bumped into her on my way out.
"I just did an interview with Jai and Priya... I start this Thursday." I beamed. Belle's jaw dropped.
"My best friend's going to be working with me!" She squealed. I giggled as she hugged me excitedly. "I'm actually going on my break now, do you want to have lunch together?"
"I'd love to." I smiled. I didn't want to go home as everyone will have left for work by now and the house would be empty.
"Great, let me just go and get my bag." Belle jogged into the locker room and got her black, faux leather handbag, before returning to me so we could leave. We left the factory and went to Cafe Main Street.
"Hello, girls." Bob smiled at us.
"Hey." Belle and I said in sync, making Bob chuckle.
"What can I get for you two?" He asked. We both ordered our lunch and some drinks and Bob said they'd be ready in a minute. Belle and I sat down at one of the round tables and Bob gave us our food about five minutes later.
"So, what's been new with you? Anyway new lovers I should know about?" Belle asked me with a smirk as she unwrapped her sandwich.
"No, sorry. My love life's been pretty damn boring lately, but I'm sure I'll meet someone when the right time comes." I shrugged, opening my salad, "What about yourself? How are things going with Kirin?" I wiggled my eyebrows.
"We're alright, I suppose." She replied bashfully, her makeup not doing a very good job of hiding her reddening cheeks.
"Aw, you're blushing!" I teased.
"Shut up." Belle smiled. I laughed. We soon finished our lunch and Belle had to get back to the factory, so we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. I decided to go on a little shoppig spree and get some clothes that would be appropriate for work, so I got the bus into town. I spent a few hours in town, buying things like bright coloured blazers and funky, but sophisticated looking tops. At around 5:00, I decided to head home. Everyone else had gotten home from work so when I arrived, I walked into a full house.
"Hey, sweetheart. How did your interview go?" Mum asked me.
"Oh, that..." I trailed off, pretending to look sad.
"Aw, Pickle, I'm sorry." Ross said. I looked up with a grin on my face.
