We stepped back into the bus where the guys awaited with hopeful looks on their faces. Apparently CC told them everything. When we got in they all started cheering and stuff. Jackie went to her bunk, and turned to me. "I gotta go home to pick up my pjs and Alice. "Who's Alice?" I ask curiously. "My stuffed animal. I had her since I was three." I grin. She's adorable! "Can I come with you?" She smiles. "Sure. My house is close." She grabs her backpack, and we tell the guys we'll be back in half an hour. We get into her car and turn on the radio. Fashionably Late goes on. "Yes! My favorite song!" she exclaims, and starts to sing along.
"It's 9 o'clock on the dot
At the spot
And I'm hanging' with her friends again
Great taste, Beautiful place
And you're fashionably late
And I don't wanna be that guy,
That makes you sad, makes you cry, again
Without a doubt sorry about,
Making out with your friendsI love the way that this began
Started off right, so innocent
I'm letting you know
I'm letting you go
I want your best friend
I'm giving' it up and asking why
You seem so shocked and so surprised
I'm sorry it hurts, I'm surely a jerk
I understand why you're madDon't talk that crap when you call me back
As a matter of fact, don't act like that
Everybody knows you're right
Everybody knows I'm wrong (wrong)It's 9 o'clock on the dot, at the spot
And I'm hanging with her friends again
Great taste, beautiful place,
And you're fashionably late
And I don't wanna be that guy
That makes you sad, makes you cry, again
Without a doubt sorry about
Making out with your friendsIt's got nothing to do with how you look
Just another excuse to write a hook
I'm letting you know
She liked my post up on my Facebook
And after all you're not my type
But all your friends are pretty nice
You know what I mean, stop making a scene,
And take some want of adviceDon't talk that crap when you call me back,
As a matter of fact, don't act like that
Everybody knows you're right,
Everybody knows I'm wrongIt's 9 o'clock on the dot, at the spot,
And I'm hanging' with her friends again
Great taste, beautiful place,
And you're fashionably late
And I don't wanna be that guy, that makes you sad,
Makes you cry, again
Without a doubt, sorry about
Making out with your friendsAnd I've got the topic conversation now
And I know I'm running out of time
It's on an honest demonstration now
You're not the only one, not the only oneDon't talk that crap when you call me back
As a matter of fact, don't act like that
Everybody knows you're right
Everybody sing alongAnd I don't wanna be that guy
That makes you sad
Makes you cry, again
Without a doubt, sorry about,
Fucking all your friendsIt's 9 o'clock on the dot At the spot
And I'm hanging' with her friends again
Great taste, beautiful place,
And you're fashionably late (hey!)
And I don't wanna be that guy
That makes you sad, makes you cry, again
Without a doubt, sorry about
Making out with your friendsMaking out with your friends
Making out with your friendsWithout a doubt, sorry about
Having sex with all your friends..."I clap and we pull into the lot of her house. "Do you want to come inside or stay in here. My mom wants to meet you. Don't worry, she's awesome." We went inside. Their house wasn't huge, but it was cozy and warm inside. The smell of freshly baked cookies wafted up my nose. She turned around from the oven and smiled. "You must be Jackie's new boyfriend. My name's Emma. And you are?" she asks, holding out a hand for me to shake. "Andy. Pleasure to meet you." I smile and take her hand. Jackie says to us "I'll go get my stuff while you two mingle. She goes upstairs. Emma turns to me. "Go up to her. I need to cook. She needs you more." I obey and run up. I hear movement in the room down the hall so I go down and look in.
It is Jackie's room. The walls are teeming with posters. Of me, BVB, FIR, ETF, and Panic! At the Disco. Mostly of me. She comes in with a newly filled backpack, and blushes when she sees that I saw her walls. "Ready to go?" she asks. "Yep." We walk back downstairs and she says bye to her mom. There's another man in th kitchen when we get down. Jackie goes and kisses her m in the cheek. "See you sometime tomorrow, Mom!" Then she turns to the guy. "You must be John. Mom's been telling me all about you." He and Emma blush, she smirks, and I take her hand and we leave.
We get back to the bus by 6:30, because we stopped to get dinner at McAlisters: mac and cheese and ice tea. We pull up next to the bus and head inside. The guys are playing a game of egg roulette, thankfully over newspaper. We come in just in time to see a raw egg crack over Jake's head.
Jackie
I go and change into my pajamas. I get them on (pic above) and grab Alice. I get everyone their food and plop down on the couch. Andy comments on my shirt. "Ain't no party like a Bruce Wayne party cuz a Bruce Wayne party don't stop till your parents are dead and you've become a psychotic vigilante serving justice to a broken city. Funny." I smile. "That gives me an idea," I say. "Let's watch Batman and eat Snickers." Everyone eagerly agreed. I go get two boxes and come back down. We watch all three, and by the time we finish its midnight. We say our good nights and crawl into bed. I put on my Kiss Me sleep mask and close my eyes, when I feel a warm figure climb in beside me and kiss me. I pull my mask off and look at him. "What? I was just following your mask's instructions!" he whispers. I kiss him back, and eventually both fall asleep in each other's arms.💤
