Tour in 3 hours! Its New Years Eve morning, and Andy, the guys, and I, are saying our goodbyes to everyone, and we're heading to the airport. "Hey Andy, what airline are we taking to England?" "JetBlue" my gorgeous bf replies. "Yasss the y have free WiFi!" He laughs. Soon we're at the airport, and checking in. A 12-year-old comes up to us, and asks all of us to sign her phone case. She has the longest brown hair EVER. I have the weird we're going to see her again. We buy bags of white chocolate mini Reese cups, the best junk food ever, and board the plane. I rest my head on Andy's shoulder, and fall asleep.
"Jackie, wake up!
I sit up with a start. The plane has seemingly landed. "Already here?" I ask sleepily, the get up. "Yep. C'mon, let's get outta here" It's around 6pm. We hail a taxi to the hotel, and dump our stuff. I'm fully awake, hyper, and ready to go places. Andy went over to CC and Ashley's room, and curiosity got the best of me. I eavesdropped.
"Are you going to tonight?"
"Yeah, I'm kinda nervous but I think it'll go well."
"Okay."
I hear Andy walking to the door, and immediately jump aside. "Hey Andy, ready to go?" "Yep, just need to grab something quickly." He runs inside, then comes out ten seconds later. "Let's go!"
He is supposedly taking me to a restaurant for the New Years Party. We get to the 'Restaurant of Queens" and go inside. There are gold balloons everywhere, crackers popping, and glasses clinking. "This is amazing, Andy!" "I knew you'd like it," he replies with a grin. "We're going somewhere else after midnight later." "Okay!" We sit down.
Dinner goes by in a flash.
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0! HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
I wonder what this year will bring.
Andy hails a cab and we drive out of the city. We drive for what seems likes around 4 hours. "Andyyyy, where are we going?" "We're almost there!" In fact we park by a hill a minute later. I pull my parka to my chest as snow starts to fall. Andy's lead me up hill and the sun is coming up. At the top of the hill there's some king of flower arch thing, decorated with my favorite flowers, snowdrops and crocuses, and daffodils. WUTTTTT........
He leads me to the top of the hill as the sun is peeking up over the mountains.
"I-it's beautiful, Andy!" I turn to him. He is down on one knee, kneeling in the snow.
Oh. My. God.
Time is literally slowing down around me.
"Jackie Emily Ryder,"
"Yes, Andy?"
He takes a small box out of his pocket and opens it. Inside is a stunning silver ring, with my birthstone, alexandrite, encased at the top. My heart misses a couple of beats, and I put hands to my face and gasp, tears welling in my eyes.
"Jackie, from the first day we met I fell in love with you. The months after have been the happiest ones of my life. I don't know how I could have ever have lived without you. I love you. Will you make me the happiest man on the planet and marry me?
"I-I love you too, Andy!"
"Is that a yes?"
"Yes!"
I fall into his arms and kiss him. "Andy, the ring!"
"Fuck, yeah, the ring!"
We frantically search through snow. I see it peeking out form under the flower arch. Rigĥ under the mistletoe. I beckon him over. "We have to kiss now, future husband," He tenderly slips the ring on my finger, and we kiss again. "I love you, Jackie"
"I love you too, Andy."
The cabby is still waiting for us when we get back. He seems to have known about it, and congratulates us. I fall asleep in my FIANCE'S arms, and next thing I know, we're at the hotel. The guys are waiting, with champagne, balloons, and a present. "Congrats, you two!" they say, greeting us with hugs and high-fives. We shoo them out soon though, and save the present for later.
