Well with the week gone by nothing new had happened. Christina and Ryan still going strong. Dante still watches my every move. Yup nothing's changed. Getting dragged out of my thoughts I hear Julie try to ask me something.

"HELLO EARTH TO SAPPHIRE! Would you like to go to the the carnival with us?" She looked a little upset.

"Who's going?"

"Ryan, Christina, Dante and a few other people."

"What, Dante? WHY?! WHY DID YOU INVITE HIM!" I couldn't help but scream.

"Well when he heard we were going he asked if he could go and  I mean I couldn't say no. Have you seen that boy?"

"Of course I've seen him! He sits next to me in English!" I tried to calm down but I couldn't.

She knows I can't stand his starring and yet she does this to me.

                                        *LATER*

It is time for the carnival. The carnival is set up with old romainian castles. People are dressed in black, everywhere you looked. It looked like goths took over the place. As we walked in we were each given a glow in the dark pendant, but mine looked different from the rest. It was a star and in the crystal in the middle was another star and around the outer star was what looked like rose thorns. A girl with black hair with highlighted dark pink tips tied in pigtails walked up to us.

"Hi, I'll be your guide for tonight, my name is Rhaine. She looked at me in awe, turned away, and began walking. We followed her into the castle where we were greeted by a man with long black hair, in his early twenties.

" Good evening my children of the night." He raised his arms "This is my castle. Have a great time while you are here. Let us hope it is not your last." He laughed maniacly and stepped into the shadows.

"I could've sworn he was the real thing!" Jessica exclaimed as we walked down the long corridor. Ryan laughed.

"Of course it wasn't the real thing, he's just trying to scare us, it is a carnival."

Everyone had paired up with someone except Dante and I.

"Looks like we have to be buddies!" He said through a smirk

" I don't have to if I don't want to, I don't care what the guide said!"

I watched everyone walk down seperate corridors.

"Well you're sticking next to me like it or not."

He grabbed my hand, pulled me closer, wrapped his arms around me and started dragging me through the corridor infront of us.

"Hey! let go of me! I don't like this! Let go! Let go! LET GO!!"

I scream and squirm trying to get out of his hold.

"But I don't want to let go." He whispers sweetly.

He turned me around to face him and looked me in the eyes. Slowly, his face starts getting closer to mine. His lips graze mine. My body freezes, unable to move, think, or speak.

CRASH!

A noise breaks the tension and I regain movement. I push him away.

"What was that?" He asks.

"I don't know"

I am frightened and relieved that the noise happened when it did. We go check out the area and find nothing. Hardly being able to see, in the moonlight I see something. I walk towards the window, a simple rose is lying on the edge.

" A black rose?"

I look at it curiously and pick it up.

"Where did you get that?" Dante looks around cautiously.

"Over by the window. I say we find our way out of the castle and head towards the Blood Courts."

"Hey you guys!" Julie exclaims excitedly," What took you so long?!"

Dante blushes and looks away.

"We got kinda lost."
