Dante walks up to me with this grin as if to say I know you want me. I just look away still in disbelief that the kiss almost happend. My heart still races everytime I think about it.
I never realized how soft his lips look
I shake my head at this thought.
I can't let myself be pulled into his charm, I have a boyfriend for crying outloud!
Dante is starring at me.
"I have to go." I run away down the hall.
"Crap, I think I am starting to like him." I tell Christina and Jessica at Lunch.
"Don't worry, as long as you don't act on your feelings, you'll be fine."
Christina gives me a reassuring smile. Jessica just nods in response. I start nibbling on a Pocky.
Hmm what am I going to do? I stay thinking. Being engrossed in my thoughts, I bump into someone.
"I'm Sorry."
I look up at who I ran into. He looks down at me smiling.
"It's okay, don't worry about it."
He looks at me with a fasinated gaze.
"Oh my name is Angelo by the way." I smiled.
" Nice to meet you, I'm Sapphire."
He was about 5"9, Straight brown hair, tan-ish skin, sweet smile, briliant brown eyes and looked around sixteen years of age.
"Well see ya around Sapphire."
Soon after my encounter with Angelo I head home. Christmas is coming up and I'm not sure what to get my friends.
WEEKS LATER....
"Beep beep" My phone rings and I see it is Rodrigo. I answer immediately.
"Hello darling."
"Hey. I have something to tell you..."
"What is it?"
Then came the words I dreaded most.
" I think we should break up."
I can't think of anything to say other than okay as tears flood my eyes. After a few moments, the line goes dead. I immediately call Roxy and Levi. They both try to comfort me. As months pass, I watch time fly out the window. Finally break is over and I go to school finally feeling better. Angelo walks up to me, giving me the biggest hug I've ever gotten from him. Smiling, I can't help it, I hug him as tight as I can. He whispers in my ear.
"I've missed you so much, I got you something."
He pulls away, looking at me with a caring gaze, and pulls out a small box.
"What is it?"
"Just open it and you'll see."
I take the box and open it to reveal a heart pendant with a star in the middle.
"Oh my gosh, Angelo, It's beautiful!" I give him a big hug.
"When you ever feel alone just look at the pendant and remember I'll always be here for you."
He hugs me tighter. We end up holding eachother for as long as we can until a teacher breaks it up. I start to blush uncontrollably. I walk to class happily wearing the pendant feeling better than I have in a long time. Smiling I write down everything from start to finish what has happened in my Chococat journal. Dante struts over looking at me trying to read what I am writing over my shoulder.
"Dante leave me alone, mind your own business please."
"Please?" He looks puzzled by my kind tone.
"Yes, now go, you are going to ruin my mood."
I continue to write as he gets up, stops mid turn and looks at the pendant around my neck.
"So HE'S already made contact."
"What?" I turn around but he is already gone. Later that day Angelo calls me.
"Hello."
"Hey."
"Do you want to hangout this weekend?"
"Sure, what day and what time?"
"How about Saturday night, I'll pick you up at 7 pm sharp."
" Sounds like a date, I can't wait."
