“The hunters are brutal killers,” Rodrigo explains to me. He looks frightened and then suddenly he grabs me. He holds me as if I might fall apart if I’m not held close. Wow he really cares but I should be fine as long as I’m careful. I nuzzle his neck and bury my face in his chest. I can’t help but smile. I must look like a lunatic given happy pills. He asks,” What’s funny? This is serious.” I say, "Nothing.” He carries on telling me about the hunters," They never spread out too much. They stay in small groups.” At that moment, I kiss him and say, "Don’t worry, they won’t and can’t hurt me. Plus you haven’t done anything wrong." He still looks at me with concern, so I just hug him reassuringly and tell him it’ll be alright. He utters an ok and holds me until I pull away. “Look, Rodrigo, don’t worry really. I’ll be fine, so just lay low for awhile ok?” He just nods his head and kisses me once more before he leaves out my window. “Man, is he such a worry wart.”I sigh. I treat myself to a box of chocolates, throwing out the ones I didn’t like.
I hear a rustling at my window later that night. Terrified, I look towards where the noise is coming from. I watched a black figure struggle with my window trying to pry it open. I slowly move out of my bed and reach for my bat. I crept back to my bed and made it look like I was still in it. I sneakily moved to my bathroom and waited for the intruder to crawl in. When the intruder got in, I watched him cautiously. I noticed that he had long shoulder length jet black hair. I gasped in surprise because I noticed that the intruder looked a lot like Rodrigo, but he seemed different. His eyes were different colors. One was a firey orange and the other was a violet color. He was standing over the imitation of me and began to grin. He slowly started removing the cover, but before he could finish removing the blanket he noticed it was a fake. He slowly turned towards the bathroom and said, " I know you’re there, I can feel your fear.” I suddenly felt a chill. I turned around to see him behind me. He was smiling as I stood there petrified. I started to step backwards, swinging the bat, but he kept coming towards me. I was about to say something, but he came behind me and started holding me. “Shhhh.” He whispered in my ear. Suddenly I shot up in a cold sweat. "Phew,” I sigh in relief,” it was only a dream.”
