"Honey," Matthew whispered shaking Honeys shoulder.
"Go away." Honey mumbled shifting her weight.
"I told you to not go to sleep tonight," Matthew muttered shaking her again.
Groaning, Honey turned to face Matthew. She rubbed her eyes and blinked several times, trying to keep her eyes open. Yawning she looked over at Matthew who was wearing his sleeping clothes.
Slightly confused, Honey opened her mouth to ask why he was waking her up, but he shushed her. She watched as he walked towards the door, signaling for her to follow him.
Hesitating at first, she got off the bed and followed him. Looking back to see that her mom was still asleep she slowly closed the door. The door creaked, causing Honey to freeze as she watched her mother stir in their bed.
"C'mon I want to show you something." Matthew murmured taking her by the hand and leading her downstairs.
They both walked downstairs doing their best to not make any noise. Matthew led Honey to a door leading to the garage. They opened it and walked through it, being greeted by cold air.
"It's cold in here." Honey commented, rubbing her arms, getting a nod from Matthew. "Why're we here?"
"Okay, so you know how Christmas is in a month?" Matthew questioned as he climbed on the dryer.
"Um, yeah?" Honey answered watching as he moved several boxes on a shelf, before bringing a small one down with him.
"I wanted to show you my present." He said handing her a box containing a phone inside it.
"You're getting a phone!" Honey exclaimed, "Lucky!"
"Shh." Matthew hushed taking the box back and quickly placing it on the shelf, behind the boxes.
"Isn't that kind of like cheating?" Honey asked as they walked out of the garage, into the kitchen.
"No," Matthew replied, watching her yawn.
"I'm gonna go back to bed." She told him heading towards the stairs.
Matthew followed in silence.
"Goodnight." Honey said as she reached the guest room door.
"Hey, um," Matthew spoke in a low voice. "I-uh, I was wondering if you liked anyone?"
Furrowing her brows, she shook her head. "Um, no, I don't think so."
"Oh..." Matthew said in a low voice, giving her a small frown.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing," Matthew mumbled, turning around to walk towards his room. "Goodnight."
"Um, okay?" Honey muttered walking nto the room, towards the bed.
That was strange. She thought thinking back at his question.
Why would he ask something like that?
