"You should tell your mom," Matthew suggested a couple of hours after arriving at his house.
"I will..." Honey drifted into thought. "It's just that he knew about my mom."
"He did?" Matthew questioned. "What did he say? Does he know her?"
"I don't know," Honey mumbled looking at her fingers. "He said her name, that's all he said."
"Oh."
Then silence.
"What happened to your dad?" Matthew asked out of the sudden
"He died."
"Oh.."
"Why?" She asked looking up at him.
"How did he die?" Matthew asked ignoring her question.
"My mom said he was a firefighter. He died saving some people." She told him, getting a slow nod.
"Do you have any pictures of him?"
Honey shook her head.
"Well... um, have you visited his grave?"
And again she shook her head.
"So, how do you know he's not dead?"
She stared at him in anger and disbelief. "Why are you always doubting me. First, it was my name and now it's about my dad. My mom wouldn't lie to me. Not about my dad."
Standing up she walked out of his room, towards the guest room. She locked herself in there, and laid on the bed in a fetus position.
