The storm becomes so heavy that Nightlight's glow can only do so much. Other than the florescent color the dragon gave off, my eyes were clouded with grey. I make Tendra file behind the fireworm. Suddenly, I feel us going downwards, right before the village of Berk comes into sight. Our dragons land right in the middle of a section of tiny cottage-houses, similar to the architecture we have, but slightly bigger constructions. Someone calls out above the rain, in a manly Viking voice, "What kind of fool would be out in this weather!" I don't hear the footsteps coming towards us, which is why Remi and I gasped as a strong grip landed on our arms, pulling us towards shelter.
"Wait! What about our dragons?" I shout in panic.
"You ladies go inside, I shall put them in our stable." The voice insists.
The door shuts, leaving us to take in the view of the inside of the house. The lack of decorations and a light musky smell gives off this house is inhabited by males. Out of respect, Remi and I shed our armor at the door steps.
"Just set that to the side," the man gives a friendly grunt as he walks in. He's intimately buff, but has a squatty height. The full grown, red beard of on his face definitely makes up for that, though.
Our attention is pulled away from each other, when we hear the footsteps squeak. "Hiccup, my boy," The man greets enthusiastically.
Before he could finished talking, the tall, scrawny boy looks at us with a dazed confusion. He looks like he just woke up...
"H- Hi?" He says to us before turning his attention to whom I assume is his father, even though the look nothing alike.
"Dad, who are these people?" He asks, looking back at Remi, then at me. I couldn't help but notice his quiet green eyes. They remind me of a bed of seaweed in the bottom of the ocean, gracefully swaying back and forth to the current. I could just get lost in th-
"Earth to Sunny?" Remi laughed.
Oh no... I did not just embarrass myself like that!
"S..sorry, what," I barely mumble.
I peek a look up at the Auburn haired boy, who has his eyes fixated on me. My cheeks flushed, and Remi gives a playful eye roll.
"Well, her name is Sunshine," She introduces me.
"Nice to meet you, ladies," the father cheers, "My name is Chief Stoick."
"Your majesty!" Remi bows while the stout Viking gives a hardy laugh.
"I am heading out to lock the stables; your dragons will be safe in there. Hiccup, find these young girls a place to sleep." Hiccup nods in response and leads us upstairs, standing there awkwardly.
"Sorry that we don't have any spare rooms," He said sheepishly "I can sleep on the floor and you two can share the bed, if that's okay."
I know why he is feeling awkward, I mean it's not really normal to share a room with two girls you don't even know. Remi and I put on the same thankful grin. While Hiccup makes a spot on the floor for himself, Remi and I sit in awkward silence until Chief Stoick beckons Hiccup downstairs.
"Well he seems nice," Remi says, laying back in the bed, "Do you think we will be able to leave in the morning?"
"Of course! Storms don't last that long." I say, laying down too.
"You like Hiccup." She says, looking at me dead in the face.
"What? No I don't!" I refuse, almost too loudly.
"It's obvious, you were totally gawking at him earlier." She giggles in a 'let's-talk-girl-stuff' tone.
"I was not! I just... spaced out." I blush.
"Looking into dreamy eyes!" She says, mockingly.
Right on cue, Hiccup walks through the door, with one hand on the back of his neck.
"So, you have a Night Fury, too?" He asks.
Is he talking to me?
"Yes, her name is Tendra. She's an albino." I smile.
He gives a shy laugh, "Well she's getting along really well with Toothless."
Toothless?
"You'll meet him tomorrow. He's a good boy." He says, practically answering my thoughts.
He has gorgeous eyes, and reads minds? He is obviously a god.
