Where Did The Sun Go

Nightmare

"Mommy, where is he?" She asked.
It took me a few moments to process it all. Why did the little girl seem so familiar? I studied the mother with her face buried in her hands. As she dropped her arms to her side like her body just went limp, I recognized the sad eyes of my mother...
She said nothing and walked in my direction, and I knew what was going to happen. I didn't budge to move out of her way. I just tried to block her from going into the next room where she met her fate when I only ten.
She didn't stop, though... She walked right through me, as if I were a ghost. Am I a ghost? Did I die in my sleep? Or is this just a sick nightmare?
I ran into the room and cried her name, but somehow, the poison has already set in...

"No," I whimper loudly, sitting up in a panic.
It was just a dream...
I notice how terrified I look when I see Hiccup look up from his desk in concern.
He gets up, stepping closer to me.
"Sunshine, are you okay?" He asks, his green eyes looking into mine.
"Call me Sunny... and yes, it was just a bad dream."
He gives me a look of relief and gives a small laugh.
"I get those all the time." He smiles.
Forcing a smile without a response, I stare down at the sheets, awkwardly.
Hiccup must feel as awkward as I do because he finally clears his throat, getting ready to say something.
"Do you want to see something cool?"
I flash him a questioning look.
"Well, you don't have to if you don't want to. You probably don't even want to, it's in the middle of the night. Why would you want to go anywhere with a stranger? So creepy, right? Wow, I am so sorry I asked. I wouldn't even want to go anywhere with someone I just-"
"Sure," I smile, cutting him off.
"Oh..." He clears his throat again, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Well then, Let's go!" He exclaims, cracking his voice a bit.
I get up, and follow him out the door.   The moon shows us that the rain is gone.  We go to the Dragon stables, which were built quite nicely.  We pass by my dragon, sleeping peacefully.
