Bridget slows down to a stop. She just finished running a  mile and now she is headed back to the gym to grab her bag. She looks around and sees only one other car in the parking lot. She looks down at her Fitbit and presses the side button to check the time. 9:30. It's not that late but nobody wants to work out today she assumed. She pulled open the door and walked to the bench were her bag and water bottle sat. She picked up the bottle and downed what was left of the water. She walked up to the water fountain and filled it up again, drinking half of it almost immediately. She sat down on the bench, still trying to catch her breath and looked down at her Nikes. These need to be washed.  She thought. She grabs her stuff and walks to the door. As she turns the corner she runs into a wall. Wait, there's no wall here. Bridget looked up to see a boy, taller than her, but not by that much.

"Excuse me I'm so sorry" Bridget said, blushing. The boy smirked and she noticed his jawline and how he had a mole on his cheek.

"No it's my bad. I wasn't watching where I was going. I'm Ethan." He said. He held out his hand for her to shake, which she took. His hands were sweaty, but so were hers.

"It's no big deal. I'm Bridget" she said, giving him a soft smile. She realized they were basically still holding hands. Her cheeks grew red as she pulled her hand away. Ethan looked away and she noticed a tiny tint pink on his cheeks. He cleared his throat.

"It's kind of late out, wouldn't expect anyone else to be here but me." He said chuckling.

"Well, um. I'm kinda always here. Or at practice. I'm training actually." She said while stuttering. She was nervous. But why?

"Training, what for?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows.

"Im training for Rio. Beach Volleyball." She said tucking a stand of sweaty hair behind her ear.

"No way! Rio? As in Rio Olympics? As in the most exciting summer event that only occurs every 4 years? As in that Rio?" He says, more excitedly than Bridget expected. She laughed and nodded.

"Yes, that would be the Rio I'm talking about." She laughed, then sighed and checked the time again.

"Hey, um," Ethan says scratching his neck. "I always go to Subway after I work out, would you like to join me?" He asked, his eyes searching Bridget's.  Did this boy just ask me out? Say yes. Wait I can't. But I want to. No Bridget. She thought to herself.

"I would love to, but I can't. I have a four year old at home with the babysitter." She said. A look came over his face. A look of confusion and disgust. She realized why.

"He's not my child. He's my little brother. I'm only 18 I haven't had a child and I don't plan on it any time soon." She sighed. Great Bridge you just ruined it all. Bridget mentally face palmed herself.

"Ok because I was concerned for a second. Ha. Can I least get your number?" He asked Bridget nervously.

"Of course!" She grabbed his phone and entered her number and contact. She handed Ethan his phone back. Ethan stared back at her and held his arm out for a side hug. She gladly accepted his embrace and when it was over he side smiled at her and walked away. Bridget had butterflies in her stomach. She headed to car and drove back her apartment.

Yoooo this is this first chapter!! It's not good but it'll get good hope you like!!
