The thing is, when Harry finally decided that he liked painting his nails and wearing girl clothes was when he was in the worst situation possible. The fact that he found his true identity while being beat up was pretty pathetic. He slowly started to change his ways of appearance.

Harry would paint his nails and nobody would really notice, and if they did they really didn't care. He then slowly started to put on girl shirts which lead to Jace questioning his choices. It wasn't a big deal, but apparently Jace didn't like the idea of a feminine boyfriend.

Harry started shaving his arms, his legs, and his armpits. He liked the feeling of soft skin, not rough one with hair all over. His mum and Gemma didn't question his sudden change. They figured that Harry would eventually become who he really was meant to be.

It just makes Harry feel good. He likes the idea of feeling pretty and people usually won't feel anything other than disgust if thy were going through what Harry is.

When Jace would leave a bruise on Harry's face, he would cover it up with concealer or foundation making sure it won't show. It's rare that Jace would hurt Harry in the face, but when he does he already knows what to do.

When Harry met Jace's friends, he was sort of surprised to see that they weren't assholes he thought they would be. They were really nice to Harry, but the lad knew better than to fall in someone's trap.

He would flinch every time they would hand him something, the lad would also wince if they even leave a pat on the back. It was an instinct he's gained since being apart of this relationship.

It's sad that he feels threatened by everyone, but could you really blame him? He's used to getting hurt that he only sees that in everyone. People would verbally hurt Harry, but Jace would also physically hurt him.

This wasn't a life Harry asked for, but he can't just get out of it and expect everything to get better. He will live with this for the rest of his life.

He doesn't know if he will be able to go through another relationship without running away feeling scared that he will hurt the lad. It wasn't fair for Harry, or his partner.

It wasn't fair to Harry because he needs a real relationship where someone can love him and where they can argue and come back to loving each other more. He doesn't want to be hit, or raped. He wanted to be given presents and told that he was beautiful. But Harry doesn't know if that was possible after all of this.

And it wasn't fair to Harry's partner because he shouldn't be going through all of that. He shouldn't handle being hurt every time Harry runs away and accuses him that he's going to hurt him.

Of course it requires a lot of work to help and make sure Harry is okay and safe, but the lad doesn't think that it's possible.

When he went to school the next day, he couldn't even glance at Louis. He's too ashamed to even look at him, let alone breath the same air as him. He just feels too guilty to answer questions to why he freaked and and he knew something that Louis probably didn't want anybody to know.

He knew that Louis will most likely ask what happened yesterday, but he couldn't just handle the pressure to answering. He can't answer because if he does and says something that can make Louis realize what's going on, Jace wouldn't forgive him. Jace would make sure Harry would regret what he did.

Class has started thirty minutes ago and Louis kept glancing at Harry. The lad wanted to snap at Louis and tell him to stop looking at him, but decided against it. Harry couldn't even focus on what the teacher was talking about because he kept feeling a burn at the side of his head. He knew that burn was the eyes of Louis.
