Things were a little awkward between Louis and Harry. They both had apologized for arguing the other day, but things just weren't as they used to be.

Louis wasn't so sure on what to say to Harry, or ask him, without feeling hesitant on Harry's outcome.

Harry just felt so sorry because he yelled at Louis when he knew it wasn't such a big deal. He knew Louis meant right, but he just couldn't help it but to feel shitty.

It wasn't like Harry had much of a choice really. He didn't want to tell Louis the truth, and he sort of freaked out since the lad saw the bruise on his cheek.

He had to be careful with these type of things. He can't just go around and show his bruises because there will be questions thrown, and rumors spreading.

"You've never told me when your birthday is. Why?" Harry asked. It was almost Christmas break, and he has yet to know when Louis' birthday was.

It just never came up and Harry really hadn't asked.

"It's a mystery," Louis joked.

The lad playfully smacked Louis on the thigh. They were currently sitting side by side at lunch. Neither with lunches, but just a phone and an earbud.

"No seriously, when is it?" Harry asked again.

"It really doesn't matter. A birthday is just a day where you were born, nothing really worthy to celebrate," Louis shrugged.

"I think otherwise. Lou, please tell me. I know it might not seem important to me, but you are my first official friend," Harry frowned.

The lad sighed, "December 24."

"On Christmas Eve?"

"Yes, on Christmas Eve."

"Wow, that's actually pretty amazing," Harry smiled.

Louis snorted. He never really saw what the big deal about birthdays were. Yeah, he gets that it was a day where you were brought in to the world, but he doesn't think it was worth the trouble to throw a party and to celebrate.

"I guess so."

It was Harry's turn to choose the music they'd get to listen to. It was sort of there thing.

Each lunch, Harry and Louis would take turns to listen to music. Harry would normally listen to the bubble gum pop music, while Louis was more into rock music.

It was two completely different music, but they were both the same in a way. Harry was more colorful and bouncy, but he is in fact sad.

Louis is dark and doesn't hide his sadness, but he thinks there really isn't any point to hiding. It's really up to the people if they decide to help the lad or not.

It was just recently that Louis really hasn't been teeing the same anymore. His mood was always changing and he was starting to find that getting out of bed was a bit harder for him.

He'd convinced himself that it had to do with the lack of sleep and the fact that he'd have to get up early for school, but that really wasn't the case this time.

He had been having these strong urges to slice his skin, and he's scared because he's been three months clean and he doesn't want to ruin the streak he's been having.

It wasn't like anyone knew though. He wasn't stopping for anyone, but himself, but he doesn't know if he really wants to do that now.

"Louis?" Harry called out.

The lad got out of his stance and looked up to see Harry.

"Yes?"

"I asked if I could come over today," Harry said.
