"Dimitri worked me so hard"
-
"You alright?" Lily asks, as I slide down onto the bench next to her with a groan.
"I'm not even sure," I sigh. "Dimitri worked me so hard"
"This sounds sexual," Sirius smirked, sitting down next to me and swinging a muscled arm around my waist.
"You're extremely wrong minded Black," Lily's eyebrows furrow in annoyance.
"Sorry love," He grinned. James gave him a look.
"Where is Dimitri?" He looks at me.
"Don't know," I lay my head down on the table, closing my eyes. "Don't care."
"You should be careful what you say Roza," Dimitri sits down next to me. "Someone might hear."
"Oh shut up Dimitri," I open my eyes just to glare at him. He reaches out in front of me and picks up the bread rolls.
"You're just out of practice from not doing it for nearly a week," He states. "Tomorrow we are going to fight a bit. Stake work, hand to hand combat."
"Finally," I lift my head. "Something that isn't running."
"Quit complaining," Dimitri doesn't face me.
"Yeah Rose," Sirius chuckles. "Quit complaining."
"Why is everyone making fun of me today?" I groan, giving Sirius a pointed look.
"I'm not making fun of you," Sirius exclaims. I raise my eyebrows at him.
"Besides," James grins. "If anyone is making fun of you it's because your easy to make fun of."
"Shut up," I say, trying to fight the smile that is making it's way onto my face. I begin to spoon some beef stew onto my plate.
"Have you seen Lissa since this morning?" Dimitri asks me. I immediately look up.
"No," I look around James towards the Ravenclaw table. I see Lissa sitting with Christian. "She was meant to be in our potions."
"Where was she then?" Dimitri asks.
As if sensing people talking about her, Lissa turns her head towards us.
Don't worry. She thinks to me. I hold my hands up as if saying, 'where were you?' I was with Christian.
I give her a look. She rolls her eyes and then turns away from me, facing her table again.
Can I come into the Grythindor common room? She turns her head slightly to see my reply, a shrug. Can you find out?
I nod.
"Can other houses go into the common rooms?" I ask.
"Well not really, no," Remus says.
"Depends which house you mean," James corrects him.
"Yeah," Sirius nods, his mouth full of food. "We don't want any Slytherins in our common room."
"But say someone from the other houses?" I glanced over at Lissa who is still looking over her shoulder at me.
"I don't know," Sirius rubs his chin as if thinking. "It depends."
"If you mean Lissa then yes," Lily interrupts. "She would be aloud in."
"Ok, cool," I nod once at Lissa. She smiles back.
Awesome. She turns away once more. What about Christian.
I groan out loud.
"What about Christian?" I ask, blowing out. It's not as if I don't like Christian, he's just not my favourite person.
"Yeah," Lily shrugs. "Why not."
"I haven't met him yet," James runs a hand through his hair.
"Neither," Sirius agrees.
"What a shame," I give a fake smile.
"Rose," Dimitri raises his eyebrows. "Be nice."
"This is me being nice," I deadpan.
What did they say? Lisa fully turns around and looks at me. I'm tempted to say they said he couldn't come, but I'm not a mean friend. I nod at her. Cool. Can you give me the password after dinner?
I shake my head and then beckon her over. She says something to Christian and then comes over.
"The passwords 'Elderflower'," I say in a quiet voice.
"Elderflower?" She bends down so that she's level with me.
"Yeah. Apparently the 'Fat Lady' has a lot of weird passwords."
"Don't be rude Rose," Lissa furrows her brows at me. Dimitri snorts.
"I'm not. She actually is called the 'Fat Lady'," I amend.
"Oh," Lissa makes a face. "Why would anyone want to be called that?"
"Don't ask me," I say.
"Thanks for the password," Lissa grins. Then her face drops. "I could literally sense you thinking about telling me Christian was not allowed, and the bond is only one way."
"Sorry," I apologise, not really meaning it.
"Why do you hate him so much?"
"I don't hate him," I fiddle with my fingers. "He's just not my favourite person."
"I'm not asking you to be best friends with him," Lissa looks at me.
"Well what are you asking?" I immediately regret saying it in the tone I did. Surprisingly, Lissa's expression softens.
"Can you please just try?"
"To what?"
"To get along with my boyfriend," She states. "Please. You don't act mean to him I guess but you always just say some side comments the mean more than one thing."
I glance up at Christian across the hall.
"Fine," I start to play with my hair. "I'll be more civilised towards Christian."
"Good," Lissa bows her head and then looks back up at me. "Civilised is a start."
"For now civilised is all your getting," I drop my dark hair against my shoulder.
"We will move past that," Lissa breathes out.
"Sure," I don't bother to disagree with her.
"See you soon?" Lissa asks.
"Yeah," I give a slight laugh. "See you soon."
******
The 'gif' is Lissa asking Rose to make more of an effort in being 'civil' to Christian.
