Time To Think- Chapter 10

Kelley's POV

"I want you"

My heart starts pounding at the words that had just come out of my mouth.

"Kelley....I...I-"

"Shhh.. I'm sorry" I cut Nathan off

"No...no don't be sorry" He said as he came closer to me.

I soon started to break down at my confusion. I love Derrick but a strong part of me has feelings for Nathan. I just wish it didn't have to be this way. My thoughts came to a stop as Nathan let go of me.

"Come on." He said

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see."

He then grabs my hand and tugs me to his car.

"Wait, don't we have to get dressed?" I asked

He shook his head no and told me that he goes all the time in pajamas. During the way there I'm silent the whole time just looking at the lights of the city, it somewhat astonishes me.

"Have I ever told you that I love the way you look when your focused?" Nathan asked.

I look at him and smiled.

"Can you tell me where we're going please?" I asked.

"Nowhere, we're just going for a ride." He smiled

He must be crazy. We've been driving around for about 15 minutes and he says we're going nowhere I hope he's not expecting me to give him gas money.

We soon stop at this park and he tells me to wait. He then walks around the car, opens my door, and gives me his hand.

"What are we doing?"

"Ugh stop asking questions and go with the flow." He told me

I then walk with him on this path that leads to this machine that you put a quarter in and it gives you animal food. He put his in and took my hand and told me to get the food. He takes another quarter out and gets his own.

"Come on."

We walk into the woods and stop and sit on a bench.

"So how have you been feeling?" He asked as he grabbed my hand and starts rubbing it.

"I've been okay, but for some reason I feel like I've just been deep in thought..... like I'm daydreaming or something."

"Yeah, I've noticed that. Every time I would see you you would be staring at the ceiling or something. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine." I assured him

After a silent pause I see a duck and trailing behind her are her babies.

"Aww look." I cooed

He then looks and creeps over to them and pulls out the food. The mom then walks to him and starts eating the seed.

He turns around and looks at me. "Come on."

I come and sit beside him on the ground and her babies come to me and perch on my lap and eat the seed out of my hands.

I start to giggle because their webbed feet felt funny on my legs. I soon look over at Nathan to see him looking at me smiling.

"What you looking at big head?" I say playfully

"Wow we bullying now?" He says

"I mean-"

"AHHH...... SHIT!" He screamed. "The bitch bit me!"

I laughed and he pushed me making me drop the seed and all of the ducklings jumped off of me going to the seed. They soon ate it all and waddled away.

"You slut bag." I say as I roll my eyes.

He then got up and pulled me close to him

"Lets go." He looked me in my eye

On the way home I started to dose off and I got a text from Derrick.

Derrick😌: Hey baby
Me: Derrick I gotta talk to you
Derrick😌: yeah uh I gotta talk to you too
Me: okay just name a time and a place
Derrick: meet me at the substation
Me: Alr bet

We I look up and we're suddenly back on campus.

"That was a fast ride back" I say getting out of the car.

"Yeah for you" He rolled his eyes.

"Oh whatever big head" I say

"You gone stop calling me that" he says as he grabs my hand tightly.

"Sure."

I finally get to my room and Nathan flops on my bed.

"What exactly are you doing?"

"Im going to sleep" He says as he puts he hands behind his head.

"Big head get up" I whine.

He soon jolts up and picks me up and body slams me on my bed.

"You bitch!" I scream

"I told you to stop calling me that" He laughed

I try to get up but he pushed me back down and got on top of me. We stare at each other for a good 10 seconds and he kisses me on my forehead.

He rolled off of top me and laid on his back. I then lay on his chest and we both fall asleep.
